One of the nation’s largest historically black universities, Texas Southern University offers an array of more than 100 undergraduate and graduate programs and concentrations. Founded in 1927, Texas Southern transforms students into lifelong learners, engaged citizens, and creative leaders in their local, national, and global communities. TSU boasts a diverse faculty as well as an extensive alumni network comprised of educators, entrepreneurs, public servants, lawyers, pilots, artists, and more. Texas Southern is spread across a sprawling 150-acre campus in the heart of Houston, America’s fourth largest city. The university calls the Greater Third Ward home, however, nearby Montrose, Midtown, and Downtown are also full of apartments available for rent.
