Headquartered in the Woodlands, the Lone Star College System is the fastest-growing community college network in the country with roughly 95,000 students. The campuses are scattered throughout the Houston area, serving a variety of school districts. The LSCS was established in 1973 and includes the Lone star College-Montgomery Campus in Conroe.

You'll find the LSCS-Montgomery campus along College Park Drive, between West Campus Drive and Montgomery College Drive. The campus is just west of the North Freeway for easy commutes. This popular area is home to a wide selection of restaurants, shops, and entertainment. It is also close to WG Jones State Forest, a popular hiking destination with two lakes and picnic areas.
