Established in 1889, Texas A&M University-Commerce is one of the oldest college campuses in Texas. This public research university is also one of the state's largest college campuses, averaging well over 12,000 students and sitting on 2,203 acres. A&M-Commerce offers 144 programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. As one of the state's smallest college towns, Commerce offers a much more peaceful setting than some of its larger neighbors.
