About five miles east of Downtown Cleveland sits Case Western Reserve University, a prestigious private institution established in 1826 with ample opportunity for arts, athletics, and cutting-edge research. Offering more than 300 degree programs and certifications, Case Western contains top-rated academic programs including those in nursing, engineering, management, medicine, and law. CWRU is also home to the Spartans sports teams, which compete in the Division III University Athletic Association.
