As a small university, Bellarmine has a much more personalized approach to education. The Tuscany-inspired campus is located on 175 hilly acres in the downtown neighborhood of Highlands. Bellarmine offers small class sizes for a student-to-teacher ratio of 12:1. Bellarmine, situated about three miles southeast of downtown, is near a variety of terrific locations. It is a few minutes east of the University of Louisville, directly north of the Louisville Mega Cavern, blocks from Kentucky Kingdom, and four miles from Churchill Downs. To be closer to shops and restaurants, look for apartments along Bardstown Road. To be within walking distance of campus, look along Richmond Drive, Norris Place, and Douglass Road.
