Public Suburban Coastal Beach SCF

With its home base in nearby Bradenton, the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota serves west-central Florida with three locations around the region. The Lakewood Ranch campus is a fairly small facility in Sarasota’s Lakewood Ranch corporate Park. This location serves as the home of Center for Innovation and Technology, whose high-tech classrooms are often utilized as training sites by visiting seminar groups as well as SCF students. In addition to tech-related programs, the Lakewood ranch campus supports the school’s nursing and healthcare curricula, as well as education majors. SCF’s Lakewood Ranch campus sits about ten miles northeast of Downtown Sarasota. Several residential neighborhoods around the campus offer apartments, condos, and rental houses within a short walk or bike ride of the school. The area also features grocery stores, local and chain restaurants, and the Legacy Golf Club nearby. he city center is famous for its swanky dining, first-rate art galleries, and electric nightlife, and of course the area’s terrific beaches are close at hand as well.
