Midlothian is a very nice area with a fair amount of housing availability. It is currently expanding. The major city of Richmond is a 30 minute drive away, which makes for a very reasonable commute to work. There are nearby shopping centers and a good public school program. Overall, I would recommend it for families and individuals. There is nothing I would particularly like to change. Living here has been an enjoyable experience.

It's a lovely area with a reasonable distance from Richmond while still feeling rather removed from the city itself. There's nice parks, and the nearness to Richmond gives the benifits of the stuff to do in the city which are generally really enjoyable.

I love the shopping in the area, anywhere you go there's a selection of grocery stores including health focused grocery shops. I've never felt unsafe at night when I'm out, and I've personally left my car unlocked by accident more than once. I've also found all the people to be very helpful and friendly. I'm new to the city I was born in a small town in the country so I was worried I'd be overwhelmed but I've found I love it here so much it's certainly my new home.

I moved to Midlothian in 2019 and have loved living here since. Everyone here is very kind, the schools in the area are great, and it's close to the city. There are lots of good restaurants in the area too that my family and I frequent. The weather in the area is nice though I wish it would snow more in the winter.
