Miamitown is a quaint census-designated place on the banks of the Great Miami River about 16 miles northwest of Cincinnati. Founded in 1816 by Arthur Henry but named for the river that flows nearby, Miamitown has a population of just 1,200 and occupies nearly one and a half square miles of land. This is a close-knit community, but one that rewards residents with a charming small-town feel and atmosphere. Hamilton Cleves Pike Road runs through downtown Miamitown, and is home to a small cafe and stores.
