Malvern-Mercer Shaker Heights, OH

In the early 1900s, Shaker Heights was discovered by the Van Sweringen brothers, who were looking to build a suburban community outside of the industrial parts of Cleveland. Since then, the Malvern-Mercer neighborhood became the largest throughout Shaker Heights due to its convenient location in proximity to the city.

Locals have pride in their football team, the Cleveland Browns, for good reason: the National Football League (NFL) was first formed in a suburb of Cleveland in the 1920s.
