Restaurants

Find restaurants and bars spread around the area, but enjoy more variety at locations including Highland Park Golf Course, and along Northfield Road and Emery Road.

If your taste buds crave Chinese food, head to popular favorite Number One Express Chinese Restaurant on Warrensville Center Road. Authentic, high-quality and flavorful, the food does not disappoint. Stellar customer service along with reasonable prices ensures that patrons enjoy their dining experience. While the small, family-run restaurant may not provide customers with an energetic atmosphere, the fast and friendly take-out and delivery services never fail to impress the locals. Plus, this establishment stays open late in the evening. Go for fresh meat options, such as Moo Goo Gai Pan, and order a side of shrimp chips.

If your ideal meal includes infectious ambiance, try Frederick's Wine and Dine on Emery Road. The modern restaurant seats over 100 customers and features live entertainment. Whether its soothing jazz or a DJ’s music selection, the music helps to create an upbeat vibe. After receiving a warm and friendly welcome, sit back and relax as you sample high quality food and excellent customer service. Choose from a varied menu, featuring dishes such as Frederick’s Fried Chicken Fritters and Frederick’s Alfredo Fettuccini, and stick around for hours if you like; the bar stays open until 2:30 a.m. every day except Sunday.

Also open late, the Winking Lizard Tavern located on Miles Road – the original tavern of the well-known statewide night scene, established over 30 years ago – features plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, numerous TVs, a full bar, daily lunch deals and drinks specials. Sample the wings or ribs or Phred’s Prefered Pfries with cheddar, mozzarella and bacon, and pair your meal with one of the bar's many local and imported beers.

Another one for drinks with friends or a later night, South East Gears and Cheers Restaurant and Bar provides customers with menu specials and a happy hour from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays, including beer sampling and appetizers. Located just outside the neighborhood on Aurora Road, the restaurant and bar also offers live entertainment on Saturday nights, a landscaped patio with outdoor seating, multiple TVs and a big screen. Nightlife in the area is as varied and exciting as other aspects of living in Warrensville Heights.

Previously only an online shopping retailer, OrangeOnions.com now enjoys a physical presence in Warrensville Heights. The company first began in Cleveland in 2007 when the founder started a small Amazon store based in his garage. Today, the company provides customers with a wide assortment of products and unique gift ideas. Located on Miles Road, the store delivers a frequently changing inventory and specialized personal touch.

When it comes to high-end shopping and designer labels, head just east of the neighborhood.
