I live in the hayesville area of Salem. Close to Hammond grade school and Adam Stephens elementary school. I've lived in this 14 years and have great neighbors. I can walk in my neighborhood with no problems. Close knit neighborhood! Love it!

There are alot of lower paying jobs in this city...There is also a select group of State and Local jobs available. These jobs are higher paying. However, competition for these jobs is high.

There are mostly big corporate stores in my meighborhood. However, in the downtown area there are locallty owned shops and businesses outside of the downtown mall.
