The crime rate in Hampton can be a bit hectic at times. Summer is one of the most active times, while teens are exposed to more congested events;Which can sometimes lead to shooting and fighting. Neighborhoods are also hot-spots for shootings. The police are very responsive but can't seem to tame the violence. On the other hand, there are plenty of peaceful residents in the area.

There isn't alot of community really. It's a very suburban area, not a lot of walking around or public transportation. There are a few community events in downtown in the fall and spring usually that draw alot of people but with that commonly comes violence that steers people away. Very family friendly though. Decent school system with lots of schools
