This would be an awesome place to live if it were even close to being affordable. For some reason the property tax rates are way above what it costs to live in other towns, even towns that are close by. You can find an "affordable" small home here but then are hit with a 10K annual tax bill. You can do better to find a nice home in a different municipality where you actually get something for what you pay.

I like Neptune City because its a small quiet town where everyone knows everyone, close to the beaches and great restaurants. and I really don't think there's anything id change. I think the police do a great job of keeping people under control and there is little to no violence. the people who live there are older which will give a new crowd of people to eventually move in. I thinks its a great place to start a family. the public school they have builds lifetime friendships I did not attend but I know a lot of people who did and are still friends with them. its very close to good highways for people who have to commute to work being with in 10 minuets from the parkway and less than that to route 18

Love our neighborhood. Affordable homes, diverse community, close to beach, Asbury and NYC. We've made some wonderful friends.

I've always loved the suburban small-town life that Neptune City provides, but over the years, the quality of lifestyle has decreased and the cost of living has increased. My family and I have been trying to move for a few years, now, as a result.
