What I like about living in Deanwood is that I am very close to my school, IDEA. But I don't feel safe getting home from school. One time my freshman year I got robbed on the way to the metro station. You can't go out at night and there aren't any neighborhood activities to do with my neighbors. I would like to see the local parks get cleaned up, and the area to become safer. I hear shots every once in a while from outside and it is not a safe environment. I don't know any teens my age that live around here, a community building day would be nice.

There are only a few places you can work in this area but most people work in other areas and travel via car or metro back and forth to work and home everyday.
