While the name may inspire visions of rolling, green hills and cascading waterfalls, Countryside-Potomac Falls provides much more than a beautiful location for your Sterling apartment. It borders the Potomac River along the Virginia/Maryland line, then extends southward to Highway 7. The neighborhood is flanked by two popular parks: Bles Park and Algonkian Regional Park. Countryside-Potomac Falls is in northeastern Sterling, roughly 26 miles northwest of Washington, DC. With the nearby businesses of Sterling and the action of DC just minutes away, this fantastic area has grown rapidly since it was developed in the mid-1970s. Taking full advantage of the area's natural beauty, Countryside-Potomac Falls offers several hiking trails, including the Countryside East River Trail, which connects to the Potomac Heritage Trail. Algonkian Regional Park covers 838 acres along the river and includes the Volcano Island Waterpark, paved and natural hiking trails, ball fields, shelters, a boat ramp, and a golf course. On the opposite side of the neighborhood, Bles Park offers fishing, nature trails, ball fields, part of the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail, and beautiful river views. Bles Park covers 124 acres. Even though Countryside-Potomac Falls offers fantastic parks, river access, and tree-lined streets, this popular neighborhood is far from remote. You'll find shops, restaurants, and a large movie theater along Harry Byrd Highway, along with Home Depot, Staples, Toys "R" Us, and more. North Virginia Community College is located in the southeast corner of Countryside-Potomac Falls, and Dulles Town Center -- a large indoor shopping mall -- sits just outside the neighborhood. Here, you'll find Nordstrom, Macy's, Lord & Taylor, Sears, and JC Penney. Dulles International Airport is just eight miles south, and other nearby locations include Dulles 28 Center, Trump National Golf Club, Seneca Regional Park, and Blockhouse Point Park.

The area has nice restaurants, but it would be nice if there were more places that are open after 9pm

The local businesses in my area are really nice. It doesn't matter whether or not I'm going to a mom-and-pop shop or a big company my needs are always met accurately with a smiling face
