Broadmoor is a popular neighborhood located seven miles from Downtown Baton Rouge. Established around 1950, this popular neighborhood extends along I-12 north to Florida Boulevard between Highway 61 and the Amite River. Broadmoor features several parks, including Flannery Road Park, which provides a playground, a recreation center, a lighted baseball field, and an indoor basketball court. Broadmoor is home to several great shopping and dining destinations -- be sure to sample the local Cajun cuisine. While shopping plazas and restaurants are scattered throughout the neighborhood, residents enjoy heading to the northwestern corner of the neighborhood, where you'll find Cortana Mall and Monterrey Plaza Shopping Center.
