Living in Atwater Village offers a suburban feel. The neighborhood is beautiful, with tree-lined streets. There are many bars and restaurants, and it is a very walkable area. On the weekend you don't have to use a car, banks, a library, and a farmers market are easily accessible. Also, we can go for a hike in 10 minutes to Griffith Park.

Everyone is very friendly here. I basically grew up in this neighborhood starting in their elementary school in 5th grade, to the middle school a walk away to the local high school by Griffith Park. Eventually moving to the neighborhood made everything easier when I started high school and my parents didn't have to worry about me walking home. Some things I don't like is how its become so gentrified, there is still some gang activity, the police station and fire station is very close by so you always hear sirens, fast cars and/ or helicopters in the area but it is something to get used to. Great food in the area and many things to check out nearby.

Atwater Village is a lovely neighborhood just on the cusp of being a "city" town and having enough space to breath... park in a free lot and see a mountain range. It does have some homelessness with the LA river running along it but it is safer than it has ever been.
