Fontainebleau Park West lies 13 miles west of Downtown Miami, and is around twenty minutes from the Miami International Airport. Apartment communities in the area provide easy access to the shops and eateries of Miami International Mall, which sits just on the other side of the Dolphin Expressway. Flagler Park Plaza is about five minutes from the mall.
Closer to home, locals visit the strip on the corner of Fontainebleau Road and Northwest 107th avenue because of its fresh produce. The Sabor Tropical Supermarket sells fresh produce, along with meats and baked goods such as cakes and pastries. The area also sports several international eateries such as Royal Thai Food.
