The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Lalique Point Apartments
I wish I would have listened to some of the bad points from other reviews. While there were a lot of things I did not like about this place, here are some good things. There's lots of space in the apartment. The laundry room can be a bit small once washer and dryer are in, but it's not too bad. The closets are very spacious. The kitchen space is decent. The doors in the apartment are slam proof. The shower heads in the bathrooms have different settings. The apartment complex is walking distance from a lot of places, and the area is nice. Very short drive from a lot of parks. It's really nice to have a fireplace. There are far more negatives that ultimately made this place not worth staying at. To start, the walls are VERY thin. We could hear full conversations from the neighbor below us very clearly, even on the other side of the apartment. This included constant and continuous barking from their dog. Noise complaints were repeatedly disregarded by management, who were overall extremely dismissive of any concern. The windows and doors were not sealed and let in cold air in the winter. Massive potholes in the parking lot were lazily patched and reappeared almost instantly. Parking is also extremely limited. Maintenance is spread very thin and took weeks to address issues. There are no laundry facilities for the apartments. The appliances are poor quality, including constantly clogging toilets and a stove that could barely boil water. The dishwasher was clearly not cleaned before we moved in. It had used silverware inside, dirty water was at the bottom of it, and it smelled awful. Even after cleaning the inside, it still smelled bad. We never used it because of this. There are no keys for the doors inside the apartment. There is not enough hot water to take a decent shower. The blinds were set up very poorly and would fall down with hardly any effort. We noticed that people generally do not stay here very long, very quick turnover rate. Tl;dr Lazy management, poor quality appliances, thin walls, nice area.
In my time I found many basic maintenance requirements are neglected or simply never done in what I assume is an attempt to save money. The apartment is nice but would recommend cleaning dryer duct often due to weak design and the laundry room door won't close. Also these are older units and draft air very hard at windows and fireplace units are basically an open window in you living room.
No leasing office on the property so you have to go to Kettering to pay rent. The windows are faulty. When it rains the windows leak and sometimes the blinds fall because they weren't put up correctly. There is little to no parking. The laundry room is too small. Door doesn't closes with a washer and dryer inside of them. They never clean up the apartment buildings. Walls are extremely thin. You can hear you neighbors as if you are in the same room as them. Carpet was absolutely terrible. You can tell it was old. Also the carpet didn't reach all the way to wall. Had a carpet cleaning company come in and even he was disappointed. When he came close to the edge the carpet would come up like a rug. Staff was great when we first moved in but after the 1st year the staff was very rude and lied about stuff that was going on. Buyer Beware!
The apartment itself is nice. The laundry room door doesn't close once you put a washer and dryer in it. The thing that makes me give them a one star is that the people that lived below us where heavy smokers and we where the 5th family to live there in 2 years, according to the neighbors. We were not told this until moving day and we had no time to find any other place to live. With in 4 weeks of living there all of our things smelled of cigarette smoke and to make it worse both my husband and daughter have asthma and were having problems breathing. My employer has a smoking policy saying that I cannot even be exposed to second hand smoke, I could of lost my job by living there.
Overall it's a good place to call home. It does have a couple negatives. The parking is terrible. Finding a spot anywhere close to your apartment after 7pm is next to impossible, and management doesn't enforce the maximum vehicle rule in the lease. Management would be our only other issue. They are sometimes hard to get into touch with and slow to respond. Other than that, Lalique Point is a very nice place to live. There aren't many amenities, but everything you could want to do is close. Apartment size is also nice. 3 bedroom is around 1100 sq ft.
I love my apartment here. They have great management staff and the apartments are well maintaine, even when we had a severe foundation issue they got in fixed quickly. The only thing I would say negative is I wish there were more parking and a bigger possibly more shaded play area for the many kids that live here.
