Property Ratings at Kensington Place
The apartments themselves are beautiful, but I would recommend everyone contact the police department, fire department and gas company before moving here. The apartment complex has had issues with car break-ins and gas leaks.
In a Few words Do not move here very bad management
This is a very quiet place, free parking lots of parking and package is safely available where you create a pin to get your package no one can steal your package. It’s just a little expensive but it also depends on the size of the room and the type you want.
Management is terrible. Ran by two women who are incompetent and completely unprofessional. Management enters residents home without notice and will kick you out if you sneeze too loud.
Update: The only reason I’m not giving this complex 1 star is because of the landscaping and the proximity to 95. They do a nice job of trying to keep the grounds clean despite people here not cleaning up after themselves. It’s also very nice being close to everything, including the highway. The low rating is due in large part to the thin walls which allow you to hear EVERYTHING your neighbors are doing (showering, flushing the toilet, TV, etc.). In addition, numerous complaints about excessive noise are not taken seriously. Calls to security, and emails to the leasing office resolve nothing. Cars have been broken into, including mine, windows smashed and tires have been slashed. The rent is VERY PRICEY for what you get. I’ve been here for 5 years and after a steady decline, this has by far been the worst year yet. I will not be renewing my lease; your money is best spent elsewhere.
Don't be fooled. Weed Smell hallways & in apt, nasty elevators, loud, rude neighbors, walls are VERY THIN. They will email you to sign the lease before move-in because they know there are issues here! Do not do it! once you sign they only care about the money! I heard a lady go off on the office yesterday about burst pipes and how no one answered the phone or returned her call!
If you are looking for a safe ,quiet and neat environment ,this is definitely the place and the apartments look so modern inside.
Place is nice. Parking always available. No issues with management thus far. But very much looking forward to moving. The people above me run and stomp all day. Walls and ceiling too thin. This place reminded me why I’m not a fan of apartment living.

I've lived at Kensington place for a year and it's been an enjoyable experience. I chose Kensington place because it was close to the highway and would make my commute easier for work, which has been fairly helpful. I haven't had any significant issues besides minor problems that maintenance ALWAYS comes to fix right away. I will say that I have been reporting a strong odor (which comes and goes) coming from the fridge or kitchen area since move-in and because no one else could smell it at the time, they wouldn't do anything about it. I gave up and dealt with it since I travel a lot for my job anyway. I have washer issues on and off, but maintenance usually takes care of it right away. I also can agree with the comments below about the walls being thin. I can stand in my bathroom and hear my neighbors entire conversation. I live in the North Building, so I get to enjoy the inside "hotel style" building. Also, they clean the building every Saturday, which is greatly appreciated and parking is included in the rent rate. Although my experience has been great, expect drastic rent increases. My rent is on auto-pay and I've never been late, but due to "the market", I received almost a $200 (15%) rent increase from 2018-2019. I tried to talk to management, but instead she offered me a free carpet cleaning and accent wall, which is being offered to all new tenants. As a loyal tenant, I believe there should at least be an opportunity to renew at a decent rate. Yes, I did sign last year at a great rate, but I should not be penalized for catching the rate when I did. She mentioned that everyone else with my size apartment is paying the new rate, which may be true, but a 15% increase in one year is still drastic. The only reason I chose to stay was due to my heavy schedule and not being able to move during that time frame. I appreciate the women in the office for always being helpful and offering great community events. As stated, I've really enjoyed my stay here, but would love to feel like I'm not being penalized for paying a lower rate. I expected an increase of course, but not as drastic. Overall, I do recommend the apartments, just prepare for possible surprises.
Trash is everywhere all the time, Parking lot, dragged through the hallways, in the lamdscaping, and heaping at the dumpsters. The management doesn't give a crap about anything. The repair team won't fix anything correctly. You can see outside theough our patio door because the door is warped. They just moved the strikeplate, so now you cant open or close it withoit your entire body weight involved. The hot water heater won't stay hot enough for one 10 minute shower, so instead of fix it, they just turn up the heat, but you still can't take more than a 10 minute shower. When asked about anything, all they say is "because" and expect you to accept that. Cars are broken into all the time. Management doesn't care at all. They won't install security cameras and "security" is never around. Most of the residents are trashy, rude, and loud, as you might surmise from the trash everywhere and vandalism. You can hear everything happening above or below you if you stand in the kitchen or bathroom - every word of a conversation. And people walking sound like herds of elephants. The lack of professionalism is really astounding. Don't waste your money living here. A fresh coat of paint on the walls doesn't make up for terrible management who never answer calls.

This place is costly but you're 40 mins out from DC and spacious. Its located right off the highway. Upgraded appliances. Love the garage parking and friendly office staff.
the apartment is brand new. the apartment in this area, it has a large courtyard with pool , lounge chairs and dinning tables perfect to enjoy the out door.
Have been here almost a year and have loved my experience. Maintenance has always been prompt and courteous, even though my issues have been minor in nature. The grounds are kept clean and it a very pet friendly complex. Neighbors are friendly and the staff is responsive and always looking to help out. The only negative is how thin the walls are. My bedroom wall is shared with the neighbors and I can hear conversations right through the wall.
I love these apartments! They are only a year old and so stylish. The stainless steel appliances, dark cherry cabinets, and tile are the perfect touch. The office staff, Austin and Rory, are so friendly and down to earth. They make sure that everything goes smoothly before, during, and after your move-in. The pool is landscaped like a desert oasis and all apartments are close access to the pool. They even have a pub room with Xbox One system and bollards, a putting green, gas grills, and artificial turf around the building perimeter so your furry family members won't kill the grass. Such luxury and competitive pricing. Even being close to Potomac Mills is a great perk.
I have lived in variety of different places but this apartment is really awesome. If your looking for an luxury apartment that affordable choose Kensington Place of Woodbridge Virginia. I am currently staying in a Affordable Unit based on my income and the staff was very pleasant and quick with submitting my paperwork to the county in a decent amount of time. While doing this process in September I wasn't able to move in until November because my lease was not up and they where willing to hold the apartment for 2 months for me. I always wanted to live in a Luxury apartment but I couldn't find a apartment that I could afford. Kensington Place was brand new when I moved in and they had the affordable Unit Program. I like the staff they are pleasant. If you have any issues maintenance is really quick in fixing the problem and the leasing center will follow up with to make sure the work was properly done. The neighborhood is quite the apartments are really nice. Full washer and dryer, stainless still appliances, spacious closets, extra storage space, balcony/patio, 2 fitness rooms, 2 club houses, a pool, and best of all they are pet friendly. The apartments are 5 min or less from eateries, Target, Walmart, the AMC movie theater, and the Potomac Mill Mall which is a big outlet mall. So if your in the market to moving to Woodbridge Virginia, consider Kensington place you will have a good living experience.
Very classy, and cozy at the same time! We live in the North building and love it! Staff is great so far and we have had no issues. Beautiful pub community room, courtyard, and exercise room with brand new equipment. Walls and floors seem sound proof and although I-95 is in our backyard,you'd never know it! Great place to not only live, but call home.
