Constant shootings and large parties almost every weekend. Work orders are closed with no action. Increasing fees added to rent each year. Most amenities are never open or in a poor state of repair. Avoid greystar they take your $$ and run!

Not generally a fan of getting shot at, for one. Add to that horrendous rent rates, utilities charged at 3x what the city is charging, requiring to use a commercial trash account, and we have told everyone we could to avoid Elan, and all Greystar properties, in the future.

Elan Uptown has been an amazing place to live thus far. We love the townhouse style units and access to our own garage. The layout is perfect for what we need and location is great. Staff has seemed friendly, helpful and very communicative. We are eager to finish unpacking and settling in so that we can enjoy every bit of our new home.

Have lived there for about 1.5 years now. For the last several months there's been constant security issues with stolen packages and bicycles, robbed vehicles in the parking garage, and residents selling drugs which brings a constant flow of their clientele wandering the building. Management has been apathetic to these issues. One of the (only) 2 elevators in the West building was down for a month straight, and then seemingly every other week for awhile after that. The phrase "Elan luxury living" has become a running tongue-in-cheek joke between residents chatting on the elevators in reference to the constant security, maintenance, and cleanliness issues.

I love how big my apartment is and the staff members are friendly love that i dont have to drive everywhere.every is right around the corner been walking more sense i moved here i just love it. i save a lot of gas and i can walk to work.

The complex itself is extremely well maintained with high quality amenities. In addition, the apartment floor plan and pricing are all excellent. I would recommend this amongst all other Uptown options. I am hopeful that the community can continue to grow, and perhaps add more amenities over time.

Apartment units are in good condition. Amenities are kept clean despite the tenants' best efforts to trash them. Cleaning and maintenance staff are friendly.

I have had a great time in my large apartment and enjoyed meeting the leasing office that was extremely helpful, the workout facilities are very nice and the pool is super fun. I have enjoyed the amenities the most so far.

A few weeks in and I have hardly any complaints. Only thing so far is that the west gym is quite small and limited, but it's enough to get in most of what you need. Great place to live. Best apartment I have lived in so far. Staff is great and as well as the maintenance crew. Friendly neighbors, that are always willing and ready to lend a helping hand. I git my car stuck in the snow and I had my neighbors immediately come to help shovel and push me out. If you are looking for an amazing place to settle down, then Elan Uptown is place for you. You barely have to drive anywhere besides work or something. Cub foods is right next door and target is a just a short walk away as well as many bus stops. Great community, even with all of us going through a pandemic, they work very hard to get the community/neighbors to get together through many different fun virtual activities. Absolutely love living here and I bet everyone else loves the place too. And cant wait for summer to get here and the pool being open. Stop your search and just come over to Elan Uptown. You will definitely feel at home here!! Home sweet home!!!

Elan made the leasing process very easy throughout COVID. I appreciated how most of the process was online and I received great videos to help get a feel for Elan. Ulrich was friendly, knowledgable, but laid-back (not trying to up-sell me). He was responsive, talking back and forth while considering different units and finding the units that fit my needs! Overall, great experience. Plus, when I moved-in (sight unseen), the unit was better than I hoped for - no damage, perfectly clean, and exactly as described.

For anyone looking to be in the middle of all the action in Uptown, Elan is a great spot to call home! Walking distance to all your favorite shops, bars, and restaurants, and being on the green line is a huge plus! Having a pool is awesome during the warm months, and the heated underground parking is crucial in the winter. The management team has also been wonderful throughout my stay. They're quick to respond to emails and really know what it means to bring value in their relationships with tenants. If there is any feedback I could provide to their team, it would focus on the upgrades that are needed for the building. At the price Elan is currently asking for from its residents, I would've expected upgraded appliances and more attractive finishing touches. The gym and pool area doesnt quite compare to those of its competitors in the neighborhood, and the quality of cabinetry and lighting in the unit is pretty low in my opinion. Rent is far too high for what you are actually getting and is more akin to rent prices in the North Loop, but you are more likely to have noisier neighbors. Overall, I did enjoy my 1 year lease here and would recommend Elan to someone who is newly graduated looking for a fun, comfortable place to live. But if you appreciate a quiet community with better amenities for a similar (or lower) price, I would look elsewhere.

Elan has been such an amazing place to live. The staff here is so accommodating and friendly. The complex is always kept clean and tidy. My apartment is absolutely beautiful and always well maintained. I would give Elan 5 stars.

I love living here! I actually rented this apartment sight unseen and just relied on the website gallery and a video tour from the leasing agent. When I arrived I was very impressed with the security system. The building is very safe and secure. The leasing office was very clean and inviting. The representatives were friendly and helpful. My unit was even nicer than the video tour showed! The high ceilings, huge kitchen island and modern looking kitchen appliances and bathroom with double vanity sinks plus a bathtub and stand in shower are luxurious. The gym is maintained well too and even offers free classes a few times a week! This is a great place to live and I would highly recommend it!

Great floor plan and location, but poor customer service.
Excellent location and place to live in
If your looking to over pay for bad service, you have found the right place.
Elan lives up to its name. Living here has injected zest into my life and I've been more successful in my career as a direct result.
I just moved into Elan and am loving it so far. The leasing staff was extremely helpful in helping me find the right unit for me and made the process easy and painless to sign. The best part is without a doubt the location. But the building itself is great supplemented with many amentities. I am in the west building so not having management as near to my actual unit is the only downfall, but when I had a service request, the online submission was received and the service completed in less than 24 hours. Although management maybe isn't always the easiest to get ahold of in person, its virtually possible to get everthing you need done through the app or website very quickly which is almost more convenient.
I love Elan! The application/leasing/move-in process was effortless and modern. I immediately fell in love with the amenities and overall feel of the building.
Just moved into Elan and we love it! Couldn't have better amenities and couldn't have a better location.
Elan was in the perfect location, plus we got a nice-sized 1B for a really good price, especially compared to other apartments in the area. The community is incredibly well-kept, and moving in was a breeze. I highly recommend giving Elan a try!
Overall the apartment complex looks nice. Staff is fairly nice, some more knowledgeable than others. When there is an issue its a struggle to get someone to respond. The apartment itself is fine but would not call it "luxury" considering you can hear your neighbors clearly, dogs, and appliances make all sorts of noises when not in use and looked used.
Very timely in responses and helpful in every aspect
There are numerous apartment and condos to choose from. I can afford to live wheee ever I want to. I have continued to remain at Elan because I am treated as a person first. The quality of the entire team is excellent and they deliver a exceptional level of customer service.
Elan is beautiful, I just moved in but am very excited
Efficient application and leasing process, Elan takes the relevant information and makes what can be a stressful process, easy.
