I've lived here for two years. Maintenance is quick and responsive within 24 hours. I have never had issues. Rent is affordable and utilities are cheap! I also love the location of downtown Mishawaka. Everything is a quick drive. I will always recommend Indian Lakes!

The office staff is great, but the apartments are outdated for the price. The paint jobs are horrible( very sloppy). Paint is in the toilet lid, broken trim, paint on window and carpet is horrible. During the e learning; they refused any other internet service and refused discounts to help their residents( that they “value” so much. The management staff is unfriendly and the grounds staff leaves debris everywhere. I would not recommend this complex to anyone. Rates go up and apartments still have cabinets from the 80’s would given 0 stars but can’t

Their maintenance is horrible; they have an online filing system for maintenance that is as good a placing something in the trash. Calling them is hit or miss. To give you an idea, they have a sprinkler system that sprays water on your walls starting at 3:30 am every minute for 45 minutes and it takes them two weeks and multiple complaints to fix and then recurs every few months. The review below saying they fix maintenance issues in 24 hours is totally false.

Everyday, I'm excited walking into my apartment as if it's my first time here. I love coming to my Indian Lakes home. The grounds are peaceful and it's such a quiet environment. The community is incredibly diverse. You'd never know there's one of the busiest roads right outside the complex. It's calm, quiet, affordable and an overall great complex.

Lived here for three years (2016-2019) of grad school at ND. Great place to live. Good management. Maintenance requests are handled pretty quickly. Great price and a lot of space, especially when compared to apartments closer to campus. Still very convenient to Notre Dame (average 10 minute drive). Lots of store and restaurants close by (less than 1-3 minute drive away)

This is my 6th and final year living here or any Edward Rose complex. Each member of the leasing staff must have been trained by a different person, because each and every time you call with a question or issue, you will get a different answer. They are rude and, well, incompetent. The annual rent hikes are always uncalled for, especially with outdated appliances and never an improvement in living conditions or service. We have had driers stop working leading to clothes smelling of smoke, washers with sharp edges leading to ripped and shredded clothes, and a fridge and freezer stop working costing us to lose hundreds of dollars of food. Do they care? No. They require that you use their own internet provider, Bloom. Ever heard of them? No you have not. We were paying for 3mB/s internet and the rate never reached 1.0 when tested. They do nothing to help the problem nor will they reimburse you for the money you are wasting on services they are failing to provide. The price of this internet is similar to what AT&T charges for 24mB/s. The complex honestly isn't safe either. Cars are repeatedly vandalized, costing hundreds to thousands of dollars in damage. The complex claims they have a security monitor, but I have yet to see one in my 6 years here. You would think that 6 years of residency, they would treat you with compassion and thanks. Not here. Not ever. Save yourself the trouble and live anywhere else.
My rent turned into a nightmare I had a one-year contract with them and for job reasons I needed to move earlier, they informed me that they will charge me early termination fees of 750.00 However after moving they charged me the whole ret till the end of my lease term, they used deceptive tactics as follow thy manipulated their accounting to make it looks like I had a balance due before moving! The have hided my termination fees check and claimed that they have not received it and thus they claim that I was not abided by the agreement, they kept sending mails to my Indian lake apartment address while in fact I had given them a forward address. They have rented the apartment but still claimed that the apartment is not rented and I am obliged to pay rent through the end of my lease term. Maintenance was also very bad and windows was blowing cold air throughout the winter and maintenance guys just come and go without fixing the issue. Manager and collection agents are very rude and has attitude problem They force you to use their cable and cable form other company is not allowed and they inform you that its 6unimitted but they will stop it at the middle of the month claiming your quota is over You will be better off living in a homeless shelter than living in this place
if you live here, I hope that you don't mind having your water shut off for the day at least once a month, and as many as three times in a month, I mean literally every month without fail, they say its for repairs, well after 2 years here I guess they just cant fix it. may not sound like a big deal, but if you have an infant child and no water for the day, or come home from work needing to wash up, its not good, you will be mad
I I am on the third floor of my building it has a rounded window over the patio door which I love like a half moon or an arch we have a small back that overlooks the pond with the water fountain coming out of it I love the water peaceful relaxing very soothing I enjoy the view
Very nice location in the city of Mishawaka. Apt is clean and they are very quick with any services or maintaince you need for the apt. The pool is nice and clean. Very pleasant environment all around.
I previously lived in Indian Lakes from 2009-2010. After living in some disappointing complexes, I came back earlier in 2015. The leasing staff was very helpful as I was very picky on where I wanted my apartment (top floor, end unit, etc etc) and were very accommodating. I had a few minor maintenance issues when I moved in and they were handled within 24 hours! For a property that size, I was thoroughly impressed. I highly recommend Indian Lakes to others that are looking to move - one of the best parts... you only pay for electricity! Gas for heating, cooking and hot water are included!
I have been here 3 years and don't think there's a better place in the area. Neighborhood is quite, safe (couple police officers live here) and clean. Rooms were cleaned well and free of any trash when I moved in. Any maintenance issue I've had even ones of my own fault they've come out and fixed within 24 hours. Landscape is well maintained. Nice added feature come spring time there's always some cute baby geese and ducks enjoying the lakes and they've never caused any problems other than a short and slightly traffic jam. Winter time they salt and shovel the walkways and parking areas. I would recccomend to any one
I have a great view of one of the small lakes from my second floor apartment. It is amazing background scenery every day, watching the geese and ducks show up in the Spring, and goslings and ducklings soon after! I have lived in apartments for the past 9.5 years - four different complexes - and the one thing that is always a pleasure at Indian Lakes is the quick response to maintenance requests. I have been in this apartment for the past 3 years and am still constantly reminded of the things I enjoy about my home!
Service requests get fixed right away. Fully fix any problem. Never have to call back. Friendly staff. Wonderful all around. Nice pool. Safe neighborhood. Beautiful landscaping.
My fiancé and I live in a 2br/2ba, 3rd floor apartment. We love it! It has vaulted ceilings for our 9ft Christmas tree, very open concept, lots of closet space and storage, good size bedrooms...we have queen size beds in each with plenty of room left for more furniture and living space, appliances are modern and the laundry room area is a nice touch. The apartment also has a deck overlooking trees and a pond...very relaxing scenery! We get so many compliments on our apartment! The utilities are all bundled...gas is free! So with this apartment, their internet and the utilities in the summer, we pay $1000.00 a month. Only downside is their rent has gone up about $30 more per month each year. We are going on our third year here.
