Hudson Square Apartments

I chose Hudson Square Apartments in Westerville, OH because I specifically wanted a high-floor apartment and found one there. As I inquired about the unit, the management told me the unit was vacant but couldn’t be shown yet because it was undergoing “cleaning and restoring.” When they finally let me tour it, the apartment had a quite strong smell of bleach and cleaning products. I was assured this was simply because it had just been cleaned that day. However, after moving in, I discovered that as the chemicals' smell faded, it had given way to an overwhelming cigarettes smoke odor, deeply impregnated in the entire apartment. It turned out that the "generous" usage of chlorine-scented cleaning products was actually meant to mask this smoking stench. I called the management and (upon someone visiting the unit and verifying my complaint) they told me it would be a quick fix. Instead, this ended up being a months-long frustrating and unsuccessful process. I was repeatedly asked to vacate the apartment for days at a time without compensation so they could “treat it” for smell removal. Each attempt only made the problem worse and the apartment kept smelling really bad. Eventually, management offered to move me to a ground-floor unit, but this was not what I signed up for. I had chosen this building specifically because I wanted a high floor unit. I decided to find another place to live and informed management I would be moving out. Despite the fact that they misled me upon touring the apartment and then never fixed the smell issue, despite the fact that I was forced to spend extra money on hotel rooms (not to mention the inconvenience), they still charged an early termination fee on my card without even notifying me in advance!!! This was my worst experience with renting an apartment. Not only was the unit practically inhabitable, but the management was dismissive, unreasonable and unwilling to take responsibility for problems they knew about from the start. I would strongly caution anyone considering this building to think twice. Overall, I would not recommend... Save yourself time, money and headache and find another place to stay.

The Management Team were misleading in the application process and gave us misleading information. When they finally came back with their desicion they had outdated and incorrect information and were very rude, unprofessional and disrespectful. Also, when we tried to call them during the posted business hours we had a hard time reaching them to speak to them. When you try to email them or try to speak to any upper management they give you they run-a-round. Once they do respond they are just as rude or more rude. No one should be subject to this type of treatment.

Hudson Square is an amazing property. They are extremely spacious as well as top of the line in Luxury Apartment Living. . The Leasing staff are adamant about keeping this property at an A+ inside and out. Extremely friendly and always willing to help anyway they can. I have lived in my 2 bedroom 1 full bath for almost 2 years now and couldn’t be happier. Do not pass the opportunity to be a resident at Hudson Square!!!

It’s tucked back in a nice quite area with easy access to the highway. The staff does an amazing job to fix any imperfections as quickly and professionaly as they can. The gym is probably one of my favorite features. They have all state of the art workout equipment and it’s open late so you can still go in after work. All in all, I’ve had nothing but great experiences here.

Lived here for over 2 years. The apartment was beautiful loved the kitchen. The office throws lots of resident events which was cool. Overall the community was quiet and we would have stayed longer if we didnt buy a house!
