Located only about seven miles from downtown, East Memphis provides an active, urban lifestyle with a little more green space and a cozier feel. East Memphis is home to the University of Memphis, a public research university with several research centers, including the FedEx Institute of Technology. Because of its proximity to downtown and the presence of the university, East Memphis is a thriving business hub. It is also a shopping destination for many Memphis residents, home to the Laurelwood Shopping Center, the Eastgate Shopping Center, and Oak Court Mall.
East Memphis is flanked by two large parks. Overton Park, on the northwest side, contains the Links at Overton Park golf course, the Brooks Museum, the Overton Park Limestone Running Trail, the Levitt Shell amphitheater, the Old Forest State Natural Area, and the Overton Park Bike Plaza. The Memphis Zoo sits just outside of Overton Park.

Property Ratings at Highpoint at The Greenline
Living at Chickasaw at the Greenline has been such a great experience. The community feels safe and welcoming, and the staff which are Curtis if i spelled it right and chris the mantienece guy are both always friendly and helpful. The location is close to shopping, dining, and right by the Greenline, which makes it easy to enjoy the outdoors. The apartments are well-kept and comfortable, with a nice layout that really feels like home. I’ve really enjoyed my time here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to live.
This is an honest review from someone who has lived here since it has been renovated. Cars are constantly broken into due to easy access from the Greenline. The gate was once ran through by car thieves. Roaches and ants are pretty bad, but it has gotten a little better with pest control but you will have to pay for pest fees monthly. The pool is tiny and has no covering. The renovations look nice but were not properly done. Doors are weak and can be easily broken into. Walls are paper-thin and can hear your neighbors. Only one dumpster for the entire apartment and is constantly overflowing. The owners of these apartments are pretty shady and greedy. Office constantly threatening fines and can be shady as well. Parking is terrible and you will get threatened with fines. Don't be fooled by how quick the response time is and how friendly the office can be in the beginning. Reviews on google are not accurate either. Most of those were posted after a party they held to be friendly with tenants. It's not worth the headache you get when living here
