Westover is a large neighborhood about seven miles west of Downtown Fayetteville. The neighborhood is also located directly south of Fort Bragg, one of the nation's largest military bases, so it’s a great option for military employees and families. This suburban neighborhood has multiple schools, parks, restaurants, and shopping plazas. Westover is also home to Cross Creek Mall, the city’s largest mall. Similar to many areas in North Carolina, Westwood has a low cost of living and is known for its affordability. There are several apartments, houses, condos, and townhomes available for rent that will fit a variety of budgets. There are even some residences that have nice views of Westover’s lakes. Highlander rentals
I lived here over a year and a half. Just moved out 8/31/23. Zaddy was the most amazing lady in the office! She always answered the phones, always addressed problems/concerns, always had a smile on her face and just had so much love and respect for my kids!!! I moved in 3/14/22. The very first night I moved in with NO furniture yet, I come in and there were cockroaches everywhere! The floors were very dirty, had stains on the carpets, had cigarette burns in the carpets as well! NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES THEY HAVE SOMEONE COME IN AND SPRAY FOR COCKROACHES, ITS STILL VERY MUCH INFESTED!!! The last exterminator told me "this is a bad area, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone" Maintenance was okay! Mark was probably my favorite. He was very nice and always worked fast and efficiently. They charge 15$ for messed up blinds.... They never came to fix my AC, so when I switched it on, I couldn't see any of the numbers on the thermostat... I always had to guess!! There is No play ground. You barely have a backyard.. you aren't allowed a grill! The mirrors in the bathroom are TINYYY!! The painted walls are ridiculously ugly!! They literally paint over color or patches that are covering holes in the walls!! There are NO LIGHTS, Except for the bathrooms and kitchen!! SO BRING YOUR OWN LAMPS!!! Honestly wouldn't recommend!!! The manager/owner said he "Wants to renovate" the places, but there is literally NOTHING to show for the renovations... All they do is replace the AC unit, the lights and carpets, and paint over the walls!!! Please make sure you do a walk through before even considering living here... You'll be turned off immediately. We weren't able to do a walkthrough before moving in! So we had no idea what we were moving into, until the day of!!!
