I’ve been in Hidden Lake since late December and I absolutely love it. My neighbors are super nice and friendly. We all respect each other space and don’t have any issues with them. We speak and keep going. The office staff has been very pleasant every time I’ve interacted with them. The pool just opened so I’m excited about that and love sitting at the actual lake. If I had to give any recommendations it would be for us to get assigned parking spots. Sometimes when I get home I have to park another building or almost 2 buildings down. I’ve noticed visitors will get spots in front of my building or broken cars Sit idle. I hope the venue area open soon with social distance guidelines so can host small events. Other than that I literally love everything about my home.

Right from the jump the staff had messed up my move in date and did not inform me until 2 days prior to the original date I was given and said I could not move in that day since it was a Sunday and the office is closed that day even though I was moving from 3 hours away and made so many arrangements. Could never get ahold of anyone in office and voicemail rarely returned. Lots of rude residence, even had neighbors running past my door screaming out slurs and wanting us to come out to fight them. Or other residence accusing people of moving their laundry and trying to fight over it in the unkept community laundry room. Had to file two police reports due to vandalism from neighbors and the complex did not care even though they damaged our things twice and we had proof. Stated basically it was he said she said and they would normally ask both residence to leave even though we were the once with damaged property and police reports. Never received a 60 day offering letter to leave or renew and the apartment complex straight up and down lied say they “stuck it to our door” yet they have all 3 of our emails, phone numbers, and our mailbox number. They said since they supposedly stuck something to the door we became responsible and we should have came to them first about it. Staff is argumentative and uninformative and have had several issues with them ever resolving an issue and if they did I had to follow up with them several times and could never get a hold of them. Poop and cigarette buds everywhere even though in the lease it states residents will be fined but they never do, so feel free so do as you please if you decide to live here, but I recommend you don’t.

Hidden Lake is a very clean, well taken care of property with very nice amenities also. The staff and management is friendly and honest to deal with. My company works at the property as needed for repairs. Over years working with this company they have been a pleasure to deal with. They truly show concern for their tenants needs and the properties condition. Great Place!

I am so happy that my family and I found this apartment complex! The fitness center is open 24/7 and was recently renovated. It has everything you need, including dumbbells, kettlebells, and a rower! The lake is beautiful and the ideal backyard getaway. The playground is perfect for my toddler. It’s a safe neighborhood that’s tucked away. Unfortunately, we have to break our lease and move in February due to a new job opportunity in a different state. We are so sad to be leaving! We wish there was a Hawthorne property in Austin, TX!! Hidden Lake is a beautiful community with a great view! It's perfectly located between Fayetteville and Hope Mills. The property is well kept and has a wonderful staff.

We went to move in and to our horror discovered it reeked of urine and animals. Because it was the weekend and no manager onsite we had no where to live. Found a new place to go and the Management told us that there was nothing wrong with the apartment and refused to refund us.

I loved living at a Hawthorne property because of my initial experience with Hidden Lake. They even helped me find a place transferring to another Hawthorne property but unfortunately things to a turn after I left. Before it was time for me to leave I wasn’t provided a offer letter so I could make my decision 60-days prior to moving out so I was forced to stay an additional two months to provide the notice. After I was cleared out to move and received an okay from the front office that everything was alright. I assumed everything was good to go. They even told the new property I was still receiving mail and assisted with forwarding my address too. Apparently 10 months after I’ve moved out I received a phone call stating that they have placed a charge into collections. Mind you again everything was paid before I left , and they also had my new address. Had I been notified prior I have no issue of paying but the point that I was ok to leave with no issues, not communicated with about anything after the fact is the main thing that’s disheartening. I was told by the collections individual that they didn’t have the address on file they kept apparently sending the mail to the address I had with them. Which makes no sense because I still live at a Hawthorne community which they have the address to. I want to review the charges because there’s a high turn around and inaccurate information that gets provided. Please be sure to keep copies of everything and ask questions multiple times and get it in writing.

It's very quiet. Tucked away behind the busy city nestled beside a beautiful lake that always has geese. The playground was resently updated and children love it! I've lived here for 2 and a half years.
