Well first I would like to start off by saying Kylie that works in the office was a HUGE help!!! I used to live on the apartment side and she helped me with that move in! I have been a tenant at Haven on Long Grove for 10 months now and just recently renewed my lease for another year. From the beginning before I even signed a lease the Property Management Staff was so helpful and kind and informative. I knew Haven on Long Grove was where I wanted to live. I love my unit, my neighbors and the complex. It feels like a community. Being a senior citizen safety is very important to me and I am so secure living here. Excellent lighting throughout the complex. Recently we had severe cold and snow and immediately the sidewalks were shoveled and snow blown and salted. Great job guys.

I love this place. I really feel like I hit the jackpot. The lower stories seem to get very noisy due to footsteps and conversations. I try to be as quiet as possible, which is very hard with a 5 year old. They recently cleaned my vents and I am seeing mold or debri again. My daughter and I have been very sick this year. Safety is very nice here. My neighbors are nice. I like the layout of my apartment and functionality.

It could be better. The place looks like a dump most days with trash across the parking lot from those who live in homes in the area disposing of their waste in the community trash bins. There are neighbors with patio furniture, shrines and trash at their front doors. There’s always loud music coming from cars pulling into the parking lot. It could be better.

I moved in when it was Aspen Place in 2022. I loved the apartment I was shown. Kylie and Jesus were great and they will be missed. The new management team is working hard after the transition and I appreciate that. I went to middle school across the street from 1995-1997. It's a great neighborhood.

The most spacious of all Apt’s I checked, the best location (apt is more like town home & they have town homes too & a great apt community & great community for kids to play & ride bikes via their town homes), the best staff that went above & beyond & I wasn’t going to check these units & thought they’d surely be more expensive than the smaller units but I’m so glad I was wrong & so grateful to the amazing staff for going above & beyond …. They’re a dream team & these days it’s hard to find kind hard working ppl

BH Management, who bought out the complex in 2021, are horrible. Our apartment hasn’t had a number on it for almost a year. They took off all the numbers a year ago before new numbers arrived, so we all had masking tape and permanent marker numbers by our doors. Eventually they got temporary number stickers for some people, but not all. The apartments are all very old, and look very small and claustrophobic when you walk in. The windows are very bad and old. Dry wall is old and patchy, paint is patchy, cracks in the walls/baseboards, rust on appliances, just cheap all around. They buy the cheapest blinds they can, so parts break off quickly (that had never happened to me before living here). Wasps get in through the chimney flue in the summer. Maintenance requests never get dealt with. It smells like mold under our sink and they say it’s fine, even though there was mold there when we moved in. The pictures on the website are from one model apartment they renovated for that purpose. It’s the same one place they keep open to show people on tours (that’s what happened to us). The police get called here a lot. There always seems to be at least one close neighbor who smokes, and the ventilation systems are shared (the smoke smell gives that away…). There are so many better places you could find for this price, now that they raised the rent to match the surrounding properties that are much nicer.

Aspen place apartments makes you feel at home no matter what day it is. I actually look forward to coming home after work to hangout on property. I've stayed at many apartment communities in the past, and this one is most definitely my favorite.
great place, conveniently located, friendly staff and reasonable response time with service requests.
This has to be the absolute worst apartment community ever. They have the rudest staff I've ever seen, and the upkeep is terrible I wish I could paste photos. The garbage is all over the place, and in the summer months the people across from me are up and out all night long. I've called and complained numerous times nothing was ever done. Do not think you'll be able to park and go inside trust me you will have to walk a bit. There's abandoned cars in every lot, the walls a so thin you here your neighbors phone conversations. Then the inside has to be the oldest I kid you not I was washing dishes and I kicked the baseboard of the cabinet and it just fell off so I looked underneath and almost threw up. It may be cheaper but not cheap enough. Move in at your own risk.
I've lived here for 6 years. It's a great value for town home living. Any repairs I've needed over the years were handled in a good/timely way. The neighborhood is well kept, and the neighbors are nice. The management team and maintence group have always been nice and willing to help. My son can play with the neighborhood kids in the backyard and it feels very safe. Great community for families. The windows and doors could use some updating and it can be drafty in the winter. The heat is electric and is very expensive to heat unit, I often have electric bills 250-300 a month during the winter months. I also wish the community offered recycling, but it's only regular trash pick-up.
Aspen place apartments are just ok. Not the best in the area, not the worst. The complex repairs things in a reasonable amount of time, however things are just old and prone to breaking. Maintenance and upkeep are decent. The new management company is rude to the people who live here, and called us liars over a $5 difference in the rent, even after we showed them the renewal paperwork. Overall, I'd say spend a little bit more and move to one of the 10 other complexes in the area.
Carpets are extremely cheap. Found staples all up and down the doors. Was able to pull up the whole square myself to find dirt and cigarette butts underneath. Very drafty. Downstairs level can't hold any heat in. Appliances very outdated. Office staff pleasant though.
Never had any problems with the tenants, ample parking, nice clubhouse! Staff is prompt. Thinking of going back.
Okay, let me start by saying the staff here is WONDERFUL. Not rude, or disrespectful and always willing to help. I was in there one time and some lady was yelling at the top of her lungs to one of the girls. No one should speak that way to anyone! When I had a problem with anything they were always there in a timely fashion and fixed the problem. When you are looking for apartments your clearly aware of location and amenities needed. This complex was built in the 80's what do you expect. Fit my needs just fine. When you live in a community everyone needs to help out in keeping things neat and tidy take some ownership people! Thank you Aspen for making my stay a Great one!
A Very nice place to live, reasonable rent and close to the the mall and the metra. Close to all the best resturants. Just a good place to live. Still interested in moving there to this year.
When I first moved into Aspen Place I thought it was nice. Now that I have been here for 9 months I realize that I would have been happier somewhere else. The location is great. It's near shopping, dining, public transportation and great schools. However, the complex itself is not what it's cracked up to be. The apartments are put together cheaply with horrible paint jobs and paper thin walls. The leasing staff is extremely rude! The customer service is horrible and when you are direct and looking for answers they are quick to say that you are looking for an argument and will attempt to hang up the phone on you. They do not return calls and always have an excuse for why something has yet to get done. Save yourself the headache and rent elsewhere!
Aspen Place is not the ideal place they hype it up to be. The management staff is rude and beligerent and does not know how to treat people. The conditions are poor and the maintenance service here is the absolute worse. When I do call to have something fixed when it breaks, which is quite frequent, they take weeks to respond. And when they do so called fix the problem it only breaks down a month or so later just so I can repeat the same process all over again, like in the case of my wasing machine. My time is just about up here and I will never come back to this place. I surely won't recommend it to anyone.
This place is really bad to live in. The appliances are very outdated, the tile in both bathrooms are uneven and missing, I have virtually no kitchen cabinet space, the closet space is severely limited, and don't even get me started on maintenace. When I call to get something fixed they don't even fix the problem. They put a band-aid on the situation until it breaks again and I have to call them back over to fix the problem. Some of the tenants don't even pick up after their pets...dog poo everywhere. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything your neighbors are doing. And I do mean everything. The rent increase is unreasonable for what you get in return which is very, very little. The office staff is not open to any agreement and is very unprofessional. The customer service is absolutely terrible and I feel that the maintenance crew is incompetent. I strongly recommend against moving into Aspen Place. You will be disappointed.
