Property Ratings at Harbor Sky
If I could give zero stars, I would. DO NOT MOVE HERE. I cannot stress this enough. The management at Harborsky Apartments is the worst I have ever encountered, and the building's infrastructure is a complete disaster. The elevator situation alone is reason enough to avoid this place like the plague. There are four elevators, but it's a rare day when all of them are actually working. It is a guarantee that at least one will be down at any given time. So far this year, we have had at least 30 separate elevator breakdowns. THIRTY. It's not just an inconvenience; it's a constant, daily frustration. Imagine paying this much in rent only to have to wait 15 minutes for an elevator or be forced to take the stairs because the building is so poorly maintained. Management is completely useless and unresponsive to these critical issues. They show a complete lack of concern for residents' safety and comfort. Save yourself the immense headache and stress. Look elsewhere. You've been warned.
We were initially happy our first 2 months here, but now a new property management company, Avenue 5, has taken over. We've been waiting 2 months now on urgent maintenance requests and our current office team has repeatedly lied to us about when we can expect repairs. Initially, the first few times we called, we were informed a maintenance man would come the following day. Fast forward to 2 months later and still no repairs. They are now ignoring our emails and every time we do get a hold of them, they can only unprofessionally blame our previous management team for their own disorganization. We've had to detail the repairs we need done 3 times now to this new team (after we had been assured they had been put into the system) because they can't seem to keep track of what needs to be done. We didn't have any issues with our prior office staff since they promptly addressed work orders. Now we are spending extra money on heating due to cold air getting in through our broken balcony door. We no longer feel comfortable in our apartment. We are extremely disappointed that we've been mislead multiple times by this new staff and would not recommend Harbor Sky to anyone looking to lease. Not worth the money we're paying to have such incompetent management that claims to care but does nothing except try to shift the blame over onto the people they took over for. They've had 2 months now to get their act together, but we haven't seen an improvement.
This is the most uncomfortable living situation that I've been and you can't make complaints about the amenities because it's about the dwelling and then. They'll find a loop in a loop but they basically just dismiss you. It's the most uncomfortable housing in portland
Do not move here. I was one of the first tenants to move in when this building first opened and it has been a complete nightmare. Amenities are never functional, packages go missing despite there being a parcel locker, hallways are kept too hot, and management is practically nonexistent. The secure garage is a joke. My bike was stolen from the bike room, cars are broken into, and I have had to chase out people casing cars more than once. I sent an email to the front office with some lease questions and it took 4 follow up emails over the course of a month and finally a visit to the front office before I got any answers. I don't know how they expect to open another "annex" building when they can't manage the one that is open now. I cannot wait to move out of this place.
