Haledon is a quiet New Jersey borough that blends the more scenic parts of the state with the more metropolitan areas. With easy access to Paterson and only a short drive to Jersey City, as well as the nearby High Mountain Park Preserve, Haledon gives residents access to everything they love about New Jersey. There are plenty of duplexes, townhomes, and apartments rentals available in Haledon, all close to Belmont Avenue and the restaurants, bars, and stores that line it.
It's easy to feel like a regular in Haledon thanks to its relatively small size. Residents praise the area for its involved community and familiar faces. However, if you’re looking to head to the more dense parts of New Jersey or across the Hudson into New York City, look no further.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Haledon Estates Apartments
PLEASE THINK ABOUT IT BEFORE MOVING HERE cops are constantly at the property , poop everywhere you walk your dog oh once they repair something they leave it half done! The audacity to charge this amount of rent when things get messed up they won’t care ! & the washer ? Ridiculous barely enough and small . They won’t care if you have a problem just take their sweet time fix things whenever they want . DONT BE FOOLED.
Haledon Estates has parking regulations but does not follow them. If I go out and return late I have a lot of problems finding a parking spot, especially in designated parking permit spots. I have had to park on the streets outside of the complex. Cars are supposed to be towed that do not have parking permits per the parking signs and the lease but nothing is being done. I keep getting told the problem is being taken care of but nothing is being done.
I took a tour around the property and to be honest I fell in love with everything. Meeting Tiffany the property manager was so worming and welcoming I said This is it I found my place lol. The apartment was A+ for me and my family!
Since moving in a month ago there has been nothing but problems. Police are constantly on the property. Neighbors are loud and disruptive late hours of the night. Pipes have been banging in the wall since we moved in and several complaints were made yet still hasn’t been fixed. Water has been shut off several times without notice. GARBAGE EVERYWHERE. Called to complain about a pile of drywall and nails left 6 inches from my apartment door for more than 2 days and property manager insisted I terminate the lease early when threatened with legal action. Instead of handling a basic safety hazard and legal liability their answer is to try and make you move out. This is a clear representation of their low level of management skills and professional. My car was towed for not having a parking pass but every night there are many other vehicles without the pass that do not get towed. It has been nothing but regret since moving in. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING FAR AWAY FROM HALEDON ESTATES!!!
They have renovated the whole outside with signs and painted. But they don't take care of the repairs once the tenant has a lease. Don't be fooled. Management told me that the carpet was ordered on November 16th. I still don't have it. They came and replaced the bathroom tile but brother wall tile ,heater. Installed a new bathroom vanity and left a whole in the wall.
