Greenbelt is a scenic suburb ideally positioned at the intersection of multiple major highways, including the Baltimore-Washington Parkway and the Capital Beltway. Close proximity to these highways affords many residents short commutes, in addition to the city’s convenience to top employers like the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, the Department of Agriculture Research Center, and the University of Maryland. Washington, DC and Annapolis and Baltimore, MD are also within commuting distance of Greenbelt.
Despite Greenbelt’s close proximity to several urban centers, the city maintains a distinct suburban vibe. Lush tree-lined streets lead to tranquil parks such as Greenbelt Park, Buddy Attick Lake Park, and Schrom Hills Recreation Center in Greenbelt, where residents can enjoy an array of recreational activities. Shopping opportunities abound at Beltway Plaza Mall, Roosevelt Center, and Greenway Center.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Greenbelt Properties
The location of these apartments is great, but my overall experience was awful due to ongoing management and maintenance issues. During my lease, I had several maintenance requests that took a long time to be resolved (and in some cases, never were). One of the most concerning problems was a radiator leak that damaged the floor and made it impossible to open my door fully, which took over two months to repair. I also felt extremely unsafe and scared about security since the doors to the hallways and basement (where the laundry is located) had no locks on them. On several occasions, I personally witnessed or documented individuals who appeared to be unhoused sleeping in the basement area. Other issues included leaky & unsealed windows that were never fixed and an outdated electrical system that frequently tripped when using basic appliances. After moving out, it took about three months to receive my full security deposit, even though my move-out inspection indicated I would get it back in full. There also seemed to be confusion about my pet deposit, as they were no longer in possession of it? Management has changed multiple times over the past few years, which may explain some of the inconsistency. The location is convenient, but based on my experience, I would never recommend living here.

Do not move here! These people only want your rent. There is no response from management and service requests takes too long. Everything has been painted over. You need to heed my warning and keep looking!!!!
I recently visited one of my good friends apartment and I must say that it was one of the nicest and quiet places that I've seen and been to in a very long time.... and when I'm ready to move I will apply there they will definitely be my first option....
