I recently moved out of Glenview House Apartments, and while my stay was generally pleasant, the end-of-lease experience was extremely disappointing and frustrating. They caused me lots of stress trying to get my security deposit refunded. Although I cleared my apartment ~15 days prior to my lease end date. Despite multiple requests for a walkthrough, management ignored me. After moving out, I received a bill for about $2500 ( $1,500 + $1000 security deposit) for carpet replacement in both bedrooms and repainting for very minor paint chipped on the wall. They later agreed to remove the carpet replacement charges after I shared my video, which clearly shows no damage to other bedroom carpet at all. They still insisted on charging for repainting, which should fall under normal wear and tear. Normal wear and tear should be covered by routine maintenance, but management unfairly charged me, significantly reducing my security deposit. Despite providing evidence that I left the apartment in a clean condition, they refused to refund the full deposit. This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. I cannot recommend Glenview House Apartments due to their unfair handling of move-out procedures. If you decide to rent here, be prepared for potential disputes and unfair charges when you move-out. I strongly recommend recording a very detailed video during your move-in and move-out walkthroughs along with management.

The units are fine, but the people who run this place are ridiculous. They swindle you for every penny they possible can. They held on to so much of our security deposit when we moved out for the most minor reasons you could imagine. Not to mention, I got towed from the parking deck (while paying $125 every month to park there) and was never reimbued the $305 it cost me to get my car back. It's the nature of this business to screw over residents but it was bad at this place.

Pros: -great location, walkable to downtown Stamford and easy access to I-95 -dog friendly -on top of a Walgreens Cons: -management has changed quite a bit -short staffed, so concierge closes early often -NOT CAPABLE OF KEEPING RESIDENTS SAFE - multiple break ins in the garage, garage doors dont require key fobs so anyone can get into the building -SO MANY MAINTENANCE REQUESTS NEEDED Unless management changes and the facility improves safety, DO NOT MOVE HERE
I fell in love with the actual apartment the moment I stepped into it. The gym, office area, dog walk and parking are also nice conveniences, too. However, I continue to have problems with maintenance not being completed and the heated pool is almost never heated. A big part of the reason I'm here is because I wanted a pool to swim in (preferably early in the morning before work), but the pool has limited hours and is usually far too cold to actually swim in. If you're considering this place because of the pool, be advised.
Where do I begin to talk about my amazing home at Glenview House? Well to start, the name Glenview House is very aptly named. You really do feel like you're at home. But that's not all, it's a home that has a very calm hotel vibe. From the clean and friendly outdoor pool deck, to the intimate courtyard and Concierge service, this place really does have it all! The main office and maintenance employees really work hard to keep our beautiful home, well, beautiful! If you are in the Stamford area and are looking for space, price and quality, then look no further than Glenview house.
