While it may be next door to a legendary mouse and the ornate castle of a storybook princess, Platinum Triangle attracts those who prefer Ducks and Angels. The neighborhood is located in the triangle formed by the intersection the Santa Ana and Orange Freeways. The Santa Ana River, along with the Santa Ana River Trail and Bikeway, extends along the eastern edge of the neighborhood.
The Platinum Triangle started out as an industrial area, but today it is filled with luxury apartment communities and palm trees. It is quickly becoming a popular mixed-use neighborhood, with street-level shops and restaurants lining wide sidewalks. For more shopping, residents head south to the nearby Outlets at Orange. The Platinum Triangle sits between the Anaheim Resort area and Downtown Orange, providing easy access to both.

I rented here for a year and have had it. I should have listened to the reviews here which apparently are very accurate. My overall experience was poor and did not live up to what they call resort and luxury living. The leasing office is very pleasant and accommodating right until you sign your lease. Once you're a tenant, all bets are off you are on your own. I have learned to pretend to be a potential future resident so I can speak with a person on the phone because no one answers if you're a tenant or maybe you are no longer their priority. You pay a hefty monthly bill for trash that doesn't get managed. There is trash in the trash room oozing with odor, trash in the garage and dog poop. Pretty cheap washer/dryer for a luxury community. Your rent will include upkeep and access to amenities that you will not be able to use due to COVID. Despite being close, they have not lower/compensate our monthly rent. You basically pay for amenities that you probably can use half of your time. Being labelled as high end resort-style gate community. My dad’s wheelchair got stolen. With security cameras, they have not been able to provide any information at all. You will smell weed in the stairwells, hallways and pretty much in every public spaces here. If you have guest visiting you, good luck. You are not going to find any parking spaces for guest here. It is always full. They only apparently have 10-15 parking spaces for the entire building. When you move out, they will bill you with all that they can including cleaning the apartment and the carpet which will obviously not look brand new when you move out but was pretty decent when we moved out. Just don’t expect to get your security deposit back and maybe even pay up some more. The only thing good here is the maintenance. They are very quick, friendly, and does a phenomenal job.

if you move here, expect to hear the upstairs neighbors every move. the floors squeak worse than a motel 6 and you can hear the neighbors driving there cars through the parking garages.... absolutely no peace and quiet and management could care less about you

BEWARE - do not move here! My pregnant wife, her family and I spent many hours cleaning up our apartment after moving out. We ran short on time and left some normal dirt that appears on all white walls. Mainly near where kids sat on bar stools and swung their feet and left some black dirt on the island counter. Even then...we used water and paper towels and easily removed most of it. A month after leaving...we received a bill for $796.00 which included $517.00 for PAINT AND PRIMER. Paint to cover the few spots we had forgotten. When I called and spoke with them, they sent me photos of the same type of dirt we had wiped off and said their contractors had to PAINT OVER THE DIRT. Instead of wiping it off the walls with the money we paid ADDITIONALLY to have it cleaned, they just painted over it to make extra money from us. They did so assuming we would just not read our bill and pay whatever they charged because we’re gone and had moved on. After asking them to discuss the obscene charges with their contractors (a Wednesday ), they ignored me. I waited until the coming weekend ( TODAY ) to call and ask to speak with a manager. I was told he was with future residents and that he’d call me back. Of course no call, so I call several hours later and finally get a hold of him to only be told that they value their company and contractors more than they do their residents. In other words, they weren’t willing to help at all and that it was “ out of their hands”. Save yourself some time and look elsewhere. Unless you want to hear slamming doors, your neighbors through the walls, THEN have your wallets gouged when you move - look anywhere else. Anywhere but Gateway Apartment Homes

I just can say worst place to live and you will find it out when you want to move out! I will never rent an apartment from Irvine Company again. They just want to charge you even by making stupid reasons. WORST Company to rent home ever!

The apartment complex is very nice overall, the low rating is due to the incompetence of the staff at gateway and Irvine company in general. The staff works only to con new residents renting at their complex rather than working to keep current residents satisfied. Each time I call resident services they disappoint, there has not been a single instance I have enjoyed speaking with someone who works at gateway. They rarely answer the phone for current residents and never respond to messages. I’ve found the only way I can speak to someone is by calling the extension for new residents looking to lease and having them transfer me. Obviously by the time I actually get someone on the phone, I am very frustrated. Instead of handling themselves in a professional manner, gateway employee decided to call my mothers number and leave a voicemail with her stating that I am hostile over the phone. I’m not sure what they were trying to accomplish by calling my parents and essentially “tattling” on me for my frustration due to their inability to complete very simple tasks in a timely manner. This is very representative of how gateway staff handles themselves. They are extremely immature and unhelpful. Moreover it’s as if the apartment staff will do anything in their power to prevent you from inviting guests over. My gate code works on rare occasion and there are less than 20 spots available for guests. If you enjoy dealing with incompetent individuals and you have no friends, significant other or family to visit you, then gateway would be the perfect spot for you.

It’s really nice complex but no safety, you have to hire your own security to guard your car.
as soon as it seems like this place starts to get better, something happens and you realize this place is absolutely the worst complex for the price you pay. Where to start? I was a tenant at gateway in Orange for a little and the experience was phenomenal. So I figured moving to their new phase would be a no brainer. It turns out that was the worse decision I have ever made. when we moved to our new apartment they never fully cleaned the unit there was dust from drywall and Sheetrock on the window sills and floor mouldings. So we call the front office they said it was odd because they always check and remember checking ours. But they would send someone anyways to cleanup the following day. The following day we came back to check the cleaning that was done and everything was still dirty. We called the front office and they said it was cleaned so we just took this to our own hands and cleaned it ourselves. Then about a month later they decided to install speed bumps which is understandable however it seems like they didn't plan it correctly they went overkill and installed 6 speedbumps per floor so living on the 4th fl and parking on the 5th floor you would have to go through 30 speed bumps up and 30 speed bumps down. fast forward 9 months they fixed the speed bumps and I get a letter on my door stating My downstairs neighbors are complaining I am stomping and have 3 days to stop or vacate. That's when I started researching and realizing my floors didn't meet California code. So I started by calling a flooring contractor to tell me what type of padding was installed he couldn't tell me exactly what type but just by looking at the floor he could tell it was cheap material and was very thin and could see why my downstairs neighbors were complaining. He then referred me to a acoustic engineer who came and confirmed that the flooring was up to standard with California code and gateway of orange is in violation. Long story short they are giving me 3 days to fix or quit over a problem they created. I try talking to the leasing office and work something out where I can move to another irvine company community they won't allow it unless I pay 2 months of rent and terminate my lease or pay the monthly lease until they find a renter. Which is what they offer anyone regardless of the situation. I call corporate they can't do anything neither. Which forces me to taking things into my own hands with gateway apartments in orange.
Gateway (Irvine Company) is a great apartment complex to live in. Yes, its a beautiful resort living atmosphere, great staff members, and the location could not be any better. The luxury amenities are wonderful, but what is the most important part of this apartment is the security staff, that patrols day and night. Feeling safe where you live should be your top priority, and that is what you get at Gateway.
I love living here, the amenities are very nice, my apartment is beautiful and there are many wonderful community events. These include pool parties, movies at the pool, wine tasting, cooking classes, etc. There are food trucks every Wednesday and delicious tacos out front once a month for Taco Tuesday. I would certainly recommend anyone to move here.
This is a great place to live! My wife and I love it. It's safe and very clean. We found this place by accident and it ended up being within our budget. There are 3 pools and two gyms with a dog park and an orange grove. Also there is a clubhouse with a 90in TV. We have free events and parties. You will never be bored here. I highly recommend. You will love where you live.
The Gateway is s wonderful place especially if you are liking for an apartment you seldom have to leave. The amenities make you want to be home! Socials, cooking classes and food trucks bring you and your neighbors together. And this is the perfect place for a puppy to grow up, lots of play Mates and 2 dog parks to romp in. The only downside is it can tale a while for improvements or quick fixes to happen (mostly around the complex not inside individual apartments). The property could use more maintenance staff.
