Frontier Flats is a luxurious new three-story addition to the city of Plainfield, NJ. Originally built in 1910 and carefully restored in 2023, our apartments for rent in Plainfield are designed with one thing in mind: your comfort. We offer 35 different apartments including 12 studios, 18 one bedrooms, and 5 two bedrooms all with top-of-the-line features and finishes. Each spacious flat is tailored with an in-unit high efficiency washer and dryer, hardwood floors, high ceilings, porcelain terrazzo tiles, and stainless-steel appliances giving it a timeless appeal. Plus, you can enjoy the amenities such as the garden terrace, fitness center, and tenant lounge. Monthly rent includes water, sewer, garbage disposal, and use of amenities if any. The tenant is liable for all utilities servicing their apartment. All applications are subject to a non-refundable $50.00 credit check fee upon submittal of an application. All leases are subject to credit review and income approval. An additional $50.00 monthly pet fee and an additional $500.00 pet deposit are required when applicable. *The Holiday 2025 Promotion is only for new tenants at Frontier Flats. New prospective tenants must specifically refer to this promotion during initial contact with a leasing agent. This offer cannot be combined with any other leasing offer, promotion, or discount. This promotion starts on December 1, 2025, and expires on December 31, 2025. This promotion is only applicable with a lease commencement date no later than February 1, 2026. All leases are subject to credit approval. A 26-month term is required to receive the 2-months free promotion. A 13-month term is required to receive the 1-month free promotion. The apartment is really nice, quiet and clean. Washer and dryer in the unit and new appliances. Nice wooden floors. Everyone with frontier has been very helpful.
I recently moved into Frontier Flats and the experience has been great so far. The leasing team made the process smooth and straightforward, and the property management team has been very responsive and welcoming. The apartment is clean, comfortable, and exactly as expected. The assistant property manager, Dario, has been especially helpful and friendly, which made my move-in much easier.
We are new tenants and honestly it feels like such a warm cozy vibe! It feels like youre living in a airbnb all the time, love the luxury and affordability of these apartments. Everyone seems so friendly and the streets are filled with amazing food!

Deciding to live here was the WORST mistake I have ever made. There is absolutely NOTHING luxurious about these "luxury apartments”. 1. Water has been completely off at least three times since I’ve lived here. They don't give notices via email or telephone, they never explain why and never let anyone know when it is back on either. 2. There were multiple water leakages throughout the apartment, especially on the third floor. There were some ceiling breakages. I notified the property manager and nothing was done. There is still breakage in my ceiling. 3. I am convinced the cameras do NOT work. There are packages stolen, car break-ins, etc. When requesting security footage, the only excuse is “we aren't able to have access to them.” (Mind you, it is the PROPERTY MANAGER claiming to not have access to the security footage throughout the building.) 4. Not a safe living environment at all. If you have a family or are living alone, you will deal with people who are high/drunk around the premises constantly. There have been multiple car break-ins and the property management are completely useless when it comes to asking for video footage. Do not let them say “it is a rare occurrence” when items are stolen within or around the building — they happen often. 5. Having a car living here becomes an inconvenience. There is NO secure parking and your car is not safe here. You have to pay the state $60 a month for parking, which wouldn't be an issue, but you risk your car getting broken into, drunk/high people around while watching you every day, and the lot not even being open. The parking isn't secure because the city is always having events which take up the lot. So not only are you paying $60 a month for an area your car is not safe in, your parking spot isn't even guaranteed. If you were able to at least park in the front of the building, you'd at least have a solution to this issue, but after 1 or 2 AM the roads need to be cleared, and you'd end up getting a ticket. 6. Management is completely useless. They're not usually on site, they don't take concern seriously. I have multiple unread text messages of concerns. The messages they do reply to will have no actual actions being taken. The 1 star is only because I can't leave 0. You are paying for an unsafe, dirty, uncomfortable place of living, not anything luxury about it. I am counting down the days until I am able to leave.

Moving here was the best decision! This property offers a lot of great amenities. It’s safe, quiet, & clean! Every property staff that I have met is friendly and responds promptly. From the moment I started my apartment search and interest in Frontier Flats, Samir has been very helpful and responsive! I moved into Frontier Flats this August 2023. As a teacher for Plainfield, I decided to move into the city where I teach. This has been an awesome decision! I absolutely love my new studio apartment. Everything is brand new and gorgeous. Not to mention, my window view is of our beautiful courtyard that's lit up so nicely every evening! Living here is a little piece of Peace living in a busy city. One of the things I appreciated about Paramount Management was their quick response time. Whenever I had a question or concern, whether it was through email or phone, they were prompt in getting back to me. This made me feel like my concerns were being taken seriously.
