Great Apartment complex. Landscape is nice. Amenities is Top tier. The floor plans are really really awesome. I love my floor plan. I could use another closet for my coats and uniforms but I made work. And there are elevators as well which is definitely a plus for carrying groceries or anything large. So far I’m content.

Manager uncooperative and unreasonable. Will not come to inspect damage to the stove top and asserting it was damaged by us, which is not the caste. Refused to see in person and relied on the photos taken by the maintenance staff. We said the damage because the age of the stove and the breakage was spontaneous. But insisted that we pay for the stove glass top an amount of $ approx. $ 400. We were without the full use of the stove because of the breakage for a week. We had no choice but the agree to pay and contest later. The atmosphere is scary, even the employees are under pressure all the time and scared of the management. The Hallways are not swept for months on end. Specially after the dedicated employee who was doing a good job was terminated. He was one of the hardworking according to our observation for years.

You do not want to lease from Fountains Matthews as the leasing office does not care if packages are stolen, ignore request and they do not keep their word and way over priced for minimal ammenities.

Place is beautiful, locations is really convenient. The first couple months we loved the community but we started to realize nobody cares about the rules in this community. It smells like weed very often when it’s supposed to be a non smoking area. People are always speeding in the parking lot not caring if there are people walking their pets or kids playing. And a lot of people seems to not bother to clean after their dogs. On a site note, gym used to be clean all the time, now it is not and a lot of equipment has been damaged for a quite a while now.

My husband and I have resided at Fountains Matthews for nearly 6 years. We have found management and maintenance to be responsive, answering repair requests usually with 24 hrs. or less. The grounds are well kept, neighbors are cordial and it's a pet friendly complex. We are located near shopping areas and major streets and highways. Maintenance is awesome. They respond promptly. Thought I had a dishwasher issue but it turned out that I turned the power button off. I was not home & the maintenance guy rang my ring & told me what the issue was & started my dishwasher for me.

I moved to Fountains Matthews in 2019 and have been a residence since. Convenient to everything in Matthews, and in walking distance to multiple shopping and dining opportunities. Located off of Independence, so it is also convenient to my commute to Uptown Charlotte area while living in a slower pace area. Community management and office staff is very friendly, and attentive to needs as well as resident pups!

Gorgeous unit. Beautiful property. Best location in Matthews. I have everything I need, and more, in walking distance or a very short drive away. The kind & attentive staff with frequent community events/freebies is the cherry on top. Before I chose Fountains Matthews, I asked myself this question, do I want the comparable unit in the remote location or do I want to spend the same amount of money in a prime location? Choice was easy!

Maintenance at the Fountains is the best I've ever experienced. Even though there has been very little maintenance needed in my new place, when I needed help with replacing light bulbs and adjusting my dishwasher settings, they were so kind and took time out of their busy schedule to help and answer any questions I had. A for all the hard working maintenance specialists and leasing office representatives.

Our family really enjoys living here! When we sold our house we were kinda of nervous moving into an apartment. That's when the staff came into play. They were extremely nice and very knowledgeable of the area. If we needed anything they were there and still are!! Thank you Fountains of Matthews for making our move smooth as possible!

Overall the community is nice and offers lots of amenities. They are very pet friendly and tons of dogs in the community however that means a lot of pet waste outside. There are definitely some downfalls like the fountains out front that bring gnats but they are still pretty. Apartments are beautiful with updated appliances.
