Fairfield Sunrise Gardens

The one star I give this place is for the leasing agent Dina, she is fantastic and goes out of her way to help you in any way she can. Fairfield itself is terrible. The buildings in this complex are older, constant maintenance issues that you have to fight to get resolved, and a lot of bugs regardless of season and how much you clean. Despite all of this I wanted to stay as it is quiet in my corner and I like my neighbors a lot. The rent is going up again and they won’t make consideration for any type of concession, despite renovated versions of my unit being advertised for substantially less than my current rent. Shoddy maintenance both inside and out, constant bugs, higher and higher rent every year for less and less value is what you’re in for, avoid this place.

I leased for a year and I couldn't have waited for my year to be over. I had 2 different floods from the roof. One in the living room and one in the bedroom. The one in the bedroom was fixed but it ruined half the clothes in my closet and they wouldn't even compensate me. The other flood was a couple weeks before I moved out and they never fixed it. The Maintenance is absolutely atrocious. Oh and I finally got my security deposit back last week and I've been out of there for 3 and a half months constantly calling to make sure I get it back and of course no answer. It's such a terrible run complex.

I have lived here for one year and I have had multiple experiences dealing with maintenance. The guys they have are good but under manned. The laundry facility is rarely if at all cleaned. And too small for this complex.

We have lived in sunrise gardens for four years in a two bedroom. We just recently moved into a brand new one bedroom. Dina made the transition so easy. Always available to answer one of our many questions. Harry and the maintenance guys are all wonderful. They get back to you and make repairs in a timely manner. We are truly happy and love being in our new home.

My boyfriend and i just moved to this location recently. We were looking to move quick but also Looking for a community to accommodate us and our small pup. Our apartment is beautiful, grounds well kept, everyone is to themselves but also friendly and what we love the most is how QUIET the community is, we recently got locked out and when you call the emergency number after hours someone came right away; we looked and looked and we are extremely happy with our move. Celeste our agent not only went above and beyond To find us something in our price range, location, and just the right fit for us she made this move so less stressful and fast she did the whole process with ease and didn't leave us to worry about anything helped us with anything and always willing to answer any questions we had shes simply the best! Always made us feel comfortable Highly recommend her to anyone. Overall very happy experience and great place.

Just moved in and I am very happy so far! Love my apartment especially the closet space! Dina was wonderful and made everything seem so easy stress free to move in!

I moved in about two weeks ago, I was looking to move in fast and find something beautiful that I loved and I did. My boyfriend and I are extremely happy. Dina helped us every step of the way and I have yet to be disappointed. The complex is beautiful and it’s literally 5 minutes from my job. I couldn’t be happier. I have been living at Sunrise Gardens for the past year. The apts are maintained beautifully. The rental agent Dana is amazing. I found her to be very accommodating to suit my needs. The complex is quiet, and people are friendly. They have full amenities, the only amenity that I use is the laundry, it's like a mini laundromat. There are always plenty of washers and dryers. The rent is moderately priced for Long Island. I will be signing another lease... Lorraine

I lived in Fairfield at Bohemia for one year and it was by far my worst experience ever!! None of my maintenance issues were resolved. They ignored all my concerns regarding broken kitchen appliances, broken locks, holes all around the kitchen which allowed bugs to come in the apartment. I was fed up with having roaches, spiders, snails, and so forth in my apartment, so I left. Although I returned the apartment nice and clean, they sent me a letter 3 months later saying that my security deposit won’t be refunded and I am to be charged an additional amount due to the alleged damage to the carpet!! When I moved in the apartment the carpet was in the same condition as when I returned it in compliance with the lease. Although I had been told when I signed the lease that I would have new carpeting, I was disappointed when I moved in to see that it was not new. Obviously, everything gets aged over time and usually carpets need to be changed every 3-5 years. I returned the carpet in the original condition, except for normal wear and tear. This company is illegitimacy charging me for damages caused by other people who lived there before me. There was no need to remove and replace the carpet, and in the worst case, they could only charge me for steam cleaning (12 cents per square foot) as specified in the damage list attached to the lease agreement. More surprisingly, even though I had provided them with my new address to receive my security deposit, the statement letter was first sent to my previous address at Fairfield! This is just another example of their poor customer service and management that caused a significant delay in the process. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company!

My husband and I have lived in this apartment since 1989. Our son was born and raised here as well. The two bedroom apartments are a great size with plenty of closets for storage. Many of the apts have been updated with granite counter tops, ceiling fans, pot lights, and crown molding. Mine does not have these updates as they are done when the apts are empty, but it is still nice and we have considered it our home for many years now. Our apt is located in a courtyard which is like having a backyard right outside your door as well a balcony off of the living room. The apt complex itself is located off of Sunrise Hwy making it close to the parkways, expressway, shopping and restaurants/fast food. The complex also has a pool, "sport" court, laundry room, club house, and gym. My family and I don't use these amenities but my neighbors and their children do. Speaking of neighbors, mine are all great. It is so nice to be able to sit out in the courtyard and talk while listening and watching the children play. A great place to live and raise your children.

I lived in Fairfield properties from Feb. 2013 to Feb. 2014. The apartment was nice and the location was as good as your going to get for the area. The maintenance wasn't great they were horrible when removing snow and very slow to respond to maintenance requests. I moved out and they still have yet to return my security deposit and I've been waiting already for two months. It says 60 days on their lease but that is ridiculous. I've rented from big properties like these before in Cali and they were able to get me my deposit back in 3 weeks. On top of that they can't even tell me how much of my deposit I'm getting back or if they are charging me for anything. Horrible experience and I have been a renter for 6 years now and this by far is the worst experience I've had. I have a co worker that is having the same problems and he lives at another property.
