The hamlet of West Hempstead is located on the west side of the Town of Hempstead on New York’s Long Island. West Hempstead is a terrific community that’s ideal for commuters – there are three train stations along Hempstead Gardens Drive. Hempstead Lake State Park is located on the southeast side of the hamlet.
