Located 25 miles north of Manhattan along the Hudson River, Tarrytown combines historic architecture with contemporary living. This Westchester County village of approximately 11,860 residents centers around Main Street, where the historic Tarrytown Music Hall, dating back to 1885, anchors a downtown filled with local shops and dining options. Housing choices include pre-war apartments and waterfront communities, with current rental prices averaging $2,583 for one-bedroom apartments and $2,518 for two-bedrooms, showing a 15.5% increase for one-bedroom units.
The village's rich history comes alive through preserved landmarks like Sunnyside, Washington Irving's former home, and Lyndhurst, the Gothic Revival mansion that once belonged to railroad magnate Jay Gould. Outdoor enthusiasts appreciate the Old Croton Aqueduct Trail, which offers miles of pathways for recreation. For commuters, the Metro-North Railroad station provides direct access to Grand Central Terminal.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Everbend Tarrytown
We moved in here last year and cannot leave fast enough. This place is extremely run down- when we moved, it was clear that no one went through and checked that things were in order and working first. We had to put in probably 10 work orders the first week and have had nothing but issues since. We have had to pressure them to replace a toilet, dishwasher and washing machine that were all not functioning. the kitchen is old and disgusting. the bathroom is too, you can’t get it clean because the ventilation is horrendous and it’s covered in built up grime that’s been painted over. The picture cuts it off but the mirror/medicine cabinet is basically unusable and looks like it’s not been replaced since the 70s. The closets constantly come off their hinges which is a huge pain, and if you get a loft, don’t expect to be able to use it from May-August because it’s too hot to be bearable. So you get to pay for all that extra real estate but can’t use it. And enjoy the Con Ed bill once it gets to 65 degrees outside. you’ll have to start turning on the AC that will barely keep one room cool. Overall this place is madly overpriced (went up $1000 apparently without any renovations on the units) and not worth it. It also takes weeks for maintenance to respond to the near constant concerns. I have unresolved issues with management since February, and they are now charging $75 for their haphazard i’ll managed parking lot (the spots don’t correlate to your building whatsoever) whereas at least the previous management it was free… rent here at your own risk.
Have lived here for years solely because I don’t want hassle of moving, but I am going to pursue moving now. When I first moved here, I told management a month before, on the date I would move in. I came from a far distance away and was told that my apartment was not ready. Maintenance requests originally took weeks to months, although they have much improved with this. Kids are constantly running through the streets, and being very loud, especially at night after quiet hours. The apartments themselves are outdated, with old cabinets, linoleum stained floors, and washers and dryers without venting to the outside. Making apartments very hot. Don’t get me started on the parking situation. If you are not parked in the one spot that you are assigned, management has no problem, calling the towing company and putting a boot on your car. They will literally boot their own residents, no matter the circumstance. Visitors have to park in a lot that is Over the hill by the sushi restaurant – extremely inconvenient. “Trash mansion” is extremely disgusting. There’s absolutely nowhere to enjoy outdoor space. Overall, very cheap quality place for an extremely expensive and outrageous price.
They advertise one rent to draw you in, then hit you with hundreds more in fees per month. After the first year they raised our rent by another $300. The property is covered in trash due many of the tenants who simply throw trash on the ground. Some people that live there are very sketchy. The one dumpster area for the property is way too small so people throw trash everywhere in that area, including into the recycling dumpster. The units get extremely hot in the summer. The clothes dryers are in a closet in the middle of the unit so they don't have a vent to the outside. The heat and lint empty into the unit making it even hotter and the dryer lint goes everywhere. The kitchens are so small that my wife and I couldn't both be in there at the same time to help each other cook, put away food, do dishes, etc. The staff are nice, but these places are not worth the amount they are asking.

I am a long time resident here and I am extremely impressed with the exceptional improvements. I will attribute this to the current management team and dedicated care of the maintenance staff. The property Is well maintained , visually beautiful and safe. Service calls are tended to promptly and communication is seamless. Most importantly the property managers are warm, professional and It's a pleasure to see how invested they are in the residents. Very responsive! This isn't just an apartment, it's a community and a home. I highly recommend Halstead Tarrytown!

Hi, thank you so much for providing us with feedback on your experience here! We really appreciate your positive review .
One of the most beautiful complexes I have ever viewed! The Tarryland Complex was Clean and quiet and extremely well kept. The staff who assisted us in viewing one of the units was kind, friendly and polite and treated us like we were family. Unfortunately, for me it was out of my budget, but would not have hesitated to rent a unit from them.

Since me and my wife of 22yrs have resided at TallyRand Apartment complex for the past 8years we have witness a slow deteriorated in the overall upkeep of not only are apartment, but also are neighbors, especially concerning repair time responses. After having numerous conversations with Management we have decided to move, and in the process of looking at various apartments within the New York State area. but also are neighbors especially concerning repair responses, and replacement of worn out appliances, Time we have witne Resident stay at TallyRand Apt disappointing and we are looking
I've been living at the complex for almost four years. Apartment with condo feel. The landscaping is well kept however the apartments are outdated and has cheaper, appliances, linoleum, and hardware. Good snow removal during the winter. Limited parking and visitors parking but plenty of spots down the hill if you live by the leasing office which is walking distance. Walls are thin so living on the top floor and an end unit could save yourself from lots of noise. Rent goes up 5% every year. You can make payments online. Pet friendly but charges a few hundred extra to have them. No space to BBQ unless you go to the common area which is far from the apartment and in a playground that usually has rowdy kids/people hanging around.
