Property Ratings at Essence North Dallas
I had a tour a couple of days ago and it was pretty bad. The lady was not able to answer many of my questions, especially around security and pests. The renovates are just a band aid over the actual problems. The units we toured all had similar issues. Dirty bathtub and sink, random sockets that aren’t for electrical, phone cable in the bathroom, broken dishwasher, spray on granite, the smell, etc. The lists can go on for awhile. There don’t seem to be background checks either and they let anyone in who is “approved”. Granted they also have an exception for someone to get accepted if they don’t meet the credit checks needed.
I just want to say I love my appointment they are real nice and Claudia thanks for working with me and helping me so much I really appreciate everything you done
Apartments generally run down and many emergency water problems show up such as burst pipes and clogged sewer. Expect 2 day wait even for emergency situations as management don't care. They won't pass over your message they will do the bare minimum and once you get mad they'll tell you how they did the bare minimum as an excuse. Management is the worst I've ever seen and stuck up. Check any bad review that they haven't deleted. You will find the management being the common problem.

I dont know what has changed since I have been here but its horrible, right at this moment its trash just sitting in front of my building its been there for 3 days now, I been waiting on maintenance to fix my issues for at least 2 years now, the front office was suppose ot setup a carpet cleaning and I never got that done either, you cant log into the portal for maintenance because the portal doesnt work, this complex wasnt like this when I moved here 4 years ago

Please don't let the amenities and nice pictures fool you. As a current tenant I have made numerous noise complaints on the neighbors who are currently blasting music and sitting on balcony yelling and screaming. They apartments themselves are very low class. If you have to pay this amount having peace and quiet in a nice stable place is not what you will get here.
tbh I only went with a friend of mine to see the apartment tour for him, but this girl Miriam totally rocked that tour and even I want to rent an apartment here in the future. lol can’t wait!!

People are very kind. Pedro is a maintenance person and he has come to my apartment twice and they have solved any problem for me. And we were very happy with the work he does
Toured the apartments today with Maci and she was very helpful and informative which made it easier to decide on this location for our move. The apts are all updated and very modernized with new technology. I enjoyed all the amenities that were included with the property including INSIDE BASKETBALL COURT !!! Trust me, it’s worth your money!!

Maci was a huge help with all the questions I had and had very detailed responses. The gym has a variety of machines and free weights which I appreciate very much. Very spacious and open floor plan, and plenty of natural lighting. Good and quiet neighborhood to live in. Definitely on the top of my list!

Staff are welcoming, especially Maci is so nice. She gave all the information that I needed and showed couple of floor plans. I’m planning to move in earlier next month.
From the moment I walked into the leasing building, I felt like this would be the best option for me! I was immediately sold on the customer service Maci provided me at Essence and not to mention the amazing work that has come from the remodeling she mentioned. The rent will be slightly more than what I am paying now at my current apartment, but truthfully I feel like it will be 100% worth it with all of the perks that come with it. Gym, basketball court, pool etc. I don't have all of that now and definitely will be looking forward to getting my money's worth! Maci was great from the time I walked in until the time I left! Give her a raise lol! No, but seriously I look forward to becoming apart of the community when the time is here! Thank you Maci for accommodating the needs I was looking for and overall bubbly personality!
My experience with Essence has been amazing! I moved in about 3-4 months ago and I couldn't be happier! I have liked it so much that 2 of my other friends have moved in as well! Wade in the office is great! He takes care of everything for me without questions and I can always rely on him! I can't wait to see what the complex will look like when everything is finished! I would recommend 100%! If you are looking for a great home, come here and ask for Wade and he will take care of you!
I went and toured here the other day and it was so refreshing to see people who love and care for their community! Kathryn was so positive and wanted to ensure that this was the right place for my family and I. She continued to ask questions that I didn't even think about, and then when I went and toured somewhere else, I noticed that they didn't even come close to the professionalism that she had! I will be in contact and coming back when the right apartment opens up for me!
I have been living here for many years and I have seen many different faces come into this office. I believe they have the right people in all the right places! Management is caring and wants to do her best to ensure that the property gets back to its glory! Jake is very understanding and will do what ever he can to help out! Then the two leasing staff is always so fun and friendly when I call or when I need something. I don't plan on going anywhere soon!
I have been looking for a new apartment for a while and after I saw the beautiful granite counters throughout I knew these were the apartments for me. On top of the all the upgrades throughout, the office staff is amazing too. Wade really helped me make an informed decision about which layout worked best for me. I am excited to be a new resident at the Emory.
I am scheduled to move in on the 22nd of December and my family and I couldn’t be more happier. Wade was amazing and helped us every step of the way. He was there for every question, and i was very surprised that he has only been with the company for a short amount of time. We can’t wait to be apart of this growing and improving community.

The management team in place now is AWESOME! It wasn't always this way. I have lived here for 3 years and the response and attitude of those in the office now is wonderful. Big or small, my maintenance tickets are handled quickly. The answer may not always be yes when you call to ask for something but at least you get to have a discussion which is a great change. I love all the trees and the grounds are kept nice at all times. It is very quiet even being next to the highway. No place is ever perfect but at least at this place they strive to be.
Stacy that works in the office is AMAZING!! Anything that I call for she helps me with right away. As well as Lia who work there she made the leasing process smooth and easy. They all are friendly and very helpful with everything. The Emory at Horizon North is a very good apartment complex. If you put in a work order, they fix the problem right away. They keep the complex very clean. It is one of the best apartments I have stayed in.
I have been a resident at The Emory for over a year. The staff is excellent in every way...Always friendly, efficient from everyone including their property manager, their leasing staff and their maintenance personnel...It is a beautiful property that has a beautiful pond where you can go walking or running....I love the basketball court and the wonderful workout room! It is close to restaurants, retail shops and freeways but one of the most important things that I love most about The Emory is that the entire time I have lived in my apartment I have always felt safe and at home...I love living at The Emory and I love the way the staff makes me feel I am a valued resident at all times and they are always there to help me whenever they are needed...My lease is coming up for renewal again for the 3rd time and I plan to make The Emory my home once again...
Nice complex and amenities, maintenance usually comes within 24 hours.
