Resting in the San Bernardino Valley, about five miles southwest of Downtown Riverside, La Sierra is a charming neighborhood with its own flavor. La Sierra has several small schools and parks, while multiple beaches are about an hour’s drive away. The neighborhood is home to La Sierra University, creating the vibrant atmosphere of a university town with an abundance of restaurants and shops. Many locals flock to Galleria at Tyler (which has over 180 stores, restaurants, and a movie theater) but La Sierra is also home to an ice-skating rink and a waterpark. The neighborhood is also convenient to California Baptist University and the University of California, Riverside. Residents enjoy a variety of housing options ranging from rows of bungalows to apartment complexes. There are rentals for every budget, but there many options that are much cheaper compared to other Riverside neighborhoods.

This will be my second time at Esplanade Apartment Homes. Moved here the first time in 2006 and was here for 6 years with my children. Moved back now that my children are adults and on their own because I loved everything about living here. The new leasing staff is so Amazing, especially Arianna!! She was so helpful and made the move in process so easy. Everyone here is so nice and I couldn't be happier to be back! Loving my new apartment so much!!

Jonnae was a great guide yo finding an apartment before we got married. She was very hospitable and sociable. She made the process A LOT less stressful and did all she could to help. Not to mention the property is wonderful.

They will charge you an "apartment cleaning" and "carpet clean/repair" fee, even if you showed them photos and a video proving the apartment was thoroughly cleaned when you moved out. Their own words - "we charge every resident this, no matter what". We even checked the box on the move-out form that said we’d like to schedule a move out walk-through and no one got back to us to schedule one. Parking is a mess (hardly ever any spots for guests). And, they put locks on the doors to the dumpsters without telling anyone that the amenity key is used to open those - by their own admission, they did not effectively communicate that and resulted in people just throwing trash over the fence, hoping it lands in the dumpster. I would not recommend staying here.

First, I want to say about the leasing office. Kathy Morris, from the leasing office, is one of the most cooperative and kind person I've ever met. If you visit here, you get free Starbucks coffee and hot chocolate. Everyone from the leasing office is super friendly. It's been one month since I lived in this apartment. It's nice to have a quiet evening with friendly neighbors. We have a dog park and duck pond within 10 mins' walking distance here. Also, the main shopping malls are 5-7 minutes away, which is very convenient. Everything is nice here, and I am willing to live here as long as I have a job in Riverside.

When I found out that the place I was living at was being sold, I immediately started making inquiries. The Esplanade was the only one to respond. I couldn’t have had a better leasing agent help me than Mikia. She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful not to mention very nice. She and the other staff made my leasing experience very enjoyable. I highly recommend this place.

I am grateful first the Esplanade staff! It's especially nice time know whenever a repair is needed, the maintenance team is expedient and thorough in their work. I have never had to wait over 48 hours for a repair to be done and this is regarding non-emergency requests. I'm glad I chose esplanade to be my place of residence.

I have mixed feelings as I approach my (second) lease renewal date. Originally my plan was to stay here for a year as I took a new job in the area. I figured that this would give me enough time to get to know the area before buying something more permanent. I never thought that I would choose apartment living as a permanent solution. It's beautiful here. The grounds are kept up, Big mature trees +++, friendly staff +++, and quick to reply to any issues +++. I have days to decide. It may be too hard to leave. Andrew R
3 weeks and and maintenance request was not serviced, but forgot my sticker one day on my car and bam car towed.

For the area the Esplanade is about average in my opinion. The pool area is pretty nice, gas grills available in pool areas, and the clubhouse was just redone and is actually very nice. I would say it's better than a lot of the places in the area, but then again I'm paying a higher price. I did find a luxury apt for the same price 2 minutes away and will be moving there in a week. Heck, same price but way nicer, peace esplanade! Cons are, I have had my car towed (I did receive a notice with an eventual tow date but was towed 5 days earlier than that date and the apt just blamed me so i shelled out $300!). They have a security guard who thinks he is a cop so he wears a bullet proof vest sometimes and walks up on you. Esplanade is tucked away somewhat so not as chaotic as places closer to highways or main roads with businesses. To be honest, this place will do if you get a good move in price or special, just don't get scared by the security nut!!
Esplanade apartment look very pretty from . They focus more on how it looks to bring xustomers. Howevwr they havent upgrade the kitchen. Very old style and nothing match on what you see outside. I had aeveral incidents even roaches. I feel they are constantly monitoring everyone. My first day moving I left my car by my garage for 10 minutes leavi g my purse and my phone and when i went downstairs my car was gone by the towtruck. This was an awefull experience. It looks like the towing compant and the apartments are in conection to make money. I cant wait for my lease to be over
My apts are beautiful! However very expensive for a single person. I think apts that allow pets should have buildings exclusively for those rentors and persons with no pets buildings for those as well. All renters dont care for pets.
The apartment is beautiful!!! They keep the grounds very well kept. They take very good care of the residents...I get my trash taken out for me, and they take care of my dry cleaning!!!! Anytime I need assistance with anything in my apartment they take care of it right away! I asked for a lightbulb to be replaced and they ended up changing out every bad lightbulb in my home ??!!! They have excellent security and I feel very safe here!!! I recommend this apartment to any and everybody looking for a home in riverside!!!
