Property Ratings at Emerson Park
Emerson Park used to be a great community when Cortland was managing it, but now that it’s under Coastal Ridge, things have taken a turn for the worse. During snowy days, salt isn’t spread, making it hazardous to walk—I nearly slipped and fell. Snow cleanup is poorly handled. The gym maintenance has also declined. Some days, there are no wipes provided, and the wipe bins are often left empty. Unfortunately, the quality of the community is going downhill.
I am very pleased with my new residency at Cortland Emerson Park. I was warmly welcomed to the community by the friendly, professional staff members, and I truly appreciated the ease of the move-in process along with the accommodations that were made in preparation for my move. The community is very clean and well-maintained. I appreciate the tranquil living environment that I experience here. Thank you to the staff and management of Cortland Emerson Park, your efforts are much appreciated.

Living here has been great and I’m so happy we were able to obtain the location in Westerville. Our family moved here from North Carolina and the only thing I used to select Cortland Emerson was the commute time it took for my husband to get to work and the website. Once we finally moved in i appreciate how functional the layout of our 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment is. I do wish we had more counter space in the kitchen but all the appliances are new and easy to clean. My children and I can sit on our front porch safely when the weather is nice and take walks to the community park easily. We are also within 25-30 minutes of a commute to the heart of Columbus but the main place we go is the Westerville Public library and target. We are very excited to continue growing and thriving in this community.

Cleanest property I have ever lived at. People are very good at cleaning up after their dogs and maintenance is always on top of any piece of trash or whatever that might show up sometimes.

We absolutely love the green spaces and side walks that are everywhere within our community. It makes us feel like we are not on top of neighbors and are able to enjoy our community more. The community also offers large balcony’s with storage spaces attached that comes in so handy!! We spend lots of time on our large balcony. The view is amazing as it over looks a pond and it feels so private because you cannot see either neighbor on either side. We are so glad we chose emerson park as our first home!

I've been here for over a year and the residents are super friendly and lots of us have become friends. I enjoy having a well-maintained, pretty, peaceful place to call home. When I visit the leasing office the staff is friendly and helpful. I can take my dog to the dog park at the center of the complex or walk her in the neighborhood and I always feel safe. I like the layout of the community; the roads are wide and there is plenty of parking. It's not crowded with buildings like some other apartment complexes. It feels homey. Although it is a very dog-friendly complex, you never hear barking. My dog is happy here. Her entertainment is watching "dog TV" through the patio door.

I greatly enjoy living at Emerson Park. It is very well-maintained and has a community dog park. Residents are very friendly and the staff is professional and helpful. Response to maintenance requests is fast - for me, typically taken care of the same day - even for small issues like a slow drain. The community is peaceful and safe to walk or run. My apartment is spacious and nice with high ceilings and good-sized bedrooms, a huge closet, and a great balcony facing the pond. It is very quiet here. Always plenty of parking. Close to the highway and grocery stores. I appreciate the community feel here, as residents interact regularly at the dog park and also things like yoga at the gym and weekly food trucks.

It is a true community here. Residents and staff are all very friendly. It is clean and manicured and I appreciate how dog-friendly it is here with a dog park and dog waste stations throughout the community. It is quiet and peaceful. The apartments are nice, and comfortable, and the maintenance responds immediately when something is needed. I like the high ceilings and huge closet and large master bedroom in my floorplan. There is always parking available. The layout of the community makes it pleasant to take walks.

The customer service in leasing office is outstanding! Chloe and Brittni are very professional but also sweet and personable. The technology Champion utilizes for leasing is top notch and makes the process very simple. My unit was immaculate when I moved in and there was a very nice card and thank you gift left for me. Also, the customer service doesn’t stop after the lease is signed. Brittni saved me a lot of money by helping me with my automatic rent payment. I highly recommend Emerson Park.

My wife and I moved into Emerson Park for our first home. Brittni and the rest of the team are second to none. We have live here since the apartments have opened. The entire staff always greets you with a smile and are very helpful to our needs, and are quick to attend to any problems that arise . The grounds and facilities are kept clean every day by friendly courteous workers. The workout room is spacious and is rarely crowded. My girls absolutely love the pool and pool area, especially the splash deck. I live here with my wife and 3 kids and could not feel safer anywhere else....a beautiful neighborhood with a play ground and a dog park.(very pet friendly) Jacob S.

My partner and I moved in about two months ago, and we have loved it here ever since! We love how spacious and nice our unit is and how affordable the rent has been. There's also tons of green space, and the buildings are all nicely spread out so there's always plenty of parking. It was huge plus for us that the apartment came with a washer and dryer and has two humongous closets. Additionally, the management at Emerson Park is fantastic. Not only are they super friendly, but they are extremely willing to help with anything you might need. We also have had a great experience with Maintenance. They came the very next day after placing a work order. We would definitely recommend checking this place out!

My wife and I lived here before Champion took over. There was a huge improvement in the quality of the management. Better amenities, more friendly office staff, and everything was more consistent. When picking somewhere to live, I think that should be at the top of your list. Location is boppin and apartments are only about 2 years old so everything is still nice.

Today marks a month since I've lived in Emerson Park, and it's felt like home since the first day I visited! From the start Brittni was super helpful in getting my application filled out and then in helping me get the things done that I needed to before my move in. She was always so quick to answer all my questions, which I really appreciated. My apartment itself is so well-maintained and spacious, I feel like I moved in with quite a bit and I still have extra storage space and a great amount of open space in my living room and bedroom. The community feels safe, friendly and quiet, and it's so nice to see so many dogs around! Maintenance is great too; I submitted a work order once and they came and fixed my issue promptly the following day. I also really appreciate the recycling pickup every Friday morning. I'm really loving my experience here so far!

We have been living here for 10 months and just renewed our lease for another year. It has been wonderful living here. Brittni and Lindsey are excellent and treat you like family. I always love chatting with them when I visit the clubhouse. This year has been difficult with everything going on with COVID-19, but Emerson and Champion have been great at still providing amenities and events. Allowing 3 pets has been incredible since my boyfriend and I moved in together, merging his dog and cat and my dog. The apartments themselves are spacious and well maintained. It really feels like home here. My only complaint would be the amount of people who do not clean up after their dogs. I can't fault the complex, though, so it does not change my thoughts on Emerson Park. I just wish people were more considerate. Anyways, keep up the great work! This property is amazing, but really it's the people like Lindsey and Brittni that make this place amazing. Lindsey provided the tour for my wife Jen and I. Emerson Park is a GREAT place to live. From the first day of residency, I have been given top-notch service. The application process was handled by the management team with care and accuracy, and we were warmly welcomed by the management and staff. Our apartment exceeded our expectations. The grounds here are kept beautifully manicured, everything is in working order, and I feel very safe and comfortable in this quiet community. A special thanks to the manager Brittni, for always taking care of any need I’ve had. She truly is a pleasure to work with. Not only is the complex well maintained but the staff is amazing to work with. Super responsive and always know how to help. This was my first time living on my own post grad and the complex is incredibly safe. They definitely know how to make it feel like your home away from home. Only a short drive to the grocery stores and easy access to the high way. I would recommend for anybody looking for a place to stay.

My fiancé and I lived at Emerson Park just under 2 years. When we first moved there it was under a different management, we liked it but there was definitely room for improvement. When Champion took over things improved beyond belief! The management team is amazing, there are a ton of community events, the club house, pool, and gym were always cleaned and fully stocked with items. When Champion took over they added a dog park, community garden, and a play ground! Communication was great as well! The only reason we left was because we bought a house, if it wasn’t for that we would still be there!!

I’ve lived here almost two years now and with Champions’s management, they have made it a great place to live! Managers are always available at the office, and via phone and email to answer questions and concerns, they are super friendly and they take pride in making our living experience great!

I have been living here for three years. The management/Ardent company who owned the complex before was TERRIBLE the first year I was there. I was about to leave once my lease was up but ever since Champion has taken the complex things have improved dramatically! Not only with the staff but to the complex as well. The team here are amazing and so so nice. They are the reason why I stayed another two years. The only thing I wish they could do is make the pool heated! But that is just me ;) Totally recommend this place to anyone.
Since we’ve moved in, management has been so accommodating and kind and this was by far the easiest out of state move we’ve had. The gym always has towels and water bottles, they host fun events frequently and the free hot cocoa/coffee is THE BEST. Love living here.

We've been living here for more than six months now, and I can honestly say that I have never had a better overall rental experience than at Emerson Park. The site/community is fabulous and the location is excellent, but the best part of living here is the staff: they go out of their way to get to know you and help with any problem, no matter how small. When I walk into the clubhouse they greet me by name and will even say hi to my dogs and know their names. And the maintenance is excellent, very timely and willing to explain how things work. Couldn't have asked for a better rental experience!
We have lived here for more then a year. We love the community(amazing gym, dog park, and Starbucks coffee are my favorite amenities)here. They host fun nights to get to know your neighbors and the office staff are always very helpful. 5 plus Stars

I will be relocating without the luxury of viewing the prospective unit in person. The leasing agent, Brittni, went above and beyond and personally created multiple videos of the property to give me a first-hand view. The maintenance and office staff even took the time out to greet me. Brittni has been welcoming and more than accommodating during this process, and I look forward to becoming a resident here!
I couldn't be any happier with living at Emerson Park. I moved here relatively recently, and based on the experience a family member of mine has had with the location and management team, it was a no brainer for me to score a spot in the complex as well. From start to finish the management team has literally blown other management teams I've dealt with in the past clear out of the water. I've lived all over the United States and it's very important for me to have landlords/propertymanagers who are prompt in responses and easy to work with. I'm not even kidding here. After speaking with them for the first time, I immediately called the family member I have who already resides at Emerson. I asked that family member if this was "real life". As in, are these people literally this amazing to deal with?? He said, "yeah, it's legit, they've been like that the entire time I've lived here". (Which is over a year). I can attest to that now. I just moved from LA and as for traveling across the country (zero stress there, right?!) and getting my living situation lined up, I can't imagine the process being ANY easier or accommodating. I've dealt with Meredith, Brittnie and Meg. All are amazing people and have went above and beyond to make sure my living situation is on point. Special shout out to Meredith who has dealt a little extra with my constant neediness. Maybe this is because she doesn’t go home and may or may not sleep on-site but still.. However, all three of them are serious rock stars. Truthfully. When it's open during the season, the pool is always crystal clear. The exercise room is always squeaky clean. The club house is maintained perfectly. Theres a little park situation for kids to burn some energy with. Everything is always on point.. they even have delicious dog treats on the counter for your pup.. not that I would personally know whether or not they are delicious or anything.. so... anyway.. speaking of dogs, they put in a pretty huge dog park for residents who have dogs to zip around in. Truly, solid move choosing Emerson for a living space and community, no doubt.
We never knew apartment living could be this good! All of the facilities and clubhouse benefits are fantastic! The pool is beautiful as well as the workout center. Our dog loves the dog park as well! We would recommend Emerson Park to absolutely anyone.
