I love the peace and quiet! The management is world class!

Madera ridge has a calm atmosphere. The tenants are usually friendly and mind their own business. I feel that most of us look out for one another if necessary. Management is attentive and friendly. Overall the Madera ridge apartments and community are definitely recommendable.

Madera Ridge is a great place to live, it's calm and the amenities are excelent. Property staff and maintenance are fast to respond and very professional. Madera Ridge is a community based complex and they are always looking for more innovative ways to improve.

Madera Ridge is cute. It’s between San Marcos and Escondido next to the highway. It is well maintained and offers a sustainable attitude to apartment living.

The office and maintenance staff are top notch and super responsive. The sense of community is excellent with various events and chances to meet, greet, and mingle. The grounds are consistently kept with pride and care. Highly recommend to anyone choosing to live in Escondido.

Madera Ridge was the first place and was the choice of all my searches. The process was fast and easy. Moving in was easy, neighbors we welcoming, and the property is environmentally conscious. Very thankful to have found Madera Ridge, thank you!

You may or may not experience: - Management using your electricity on your meter without reimbursement - Needing to vacate the entire unit for 24-48 hours for "renovations". - Needing to rearrange the entire unit for 24-48 hours for "renovations". - Needing to relocate any pets for 24-48 for "renovations and repairs". - Guests being towed for parking in the "free guest parking" that isn't free. - Receiving a new letter on your door every other week about the next upcoming "renovations" you need to make accommodations for. -They may cut down and remove more of the vegetation around the complex in order to save money on future maintenance. The complex was filled with trees in 2022 and since have been removed to save for future repair costs.

The move in process was easy! Our home was clean before moving in and the community is quiet and calm. The staff are great!

A really nice place to live, very calm and peaceful and silent. You can't hear the neighbors at all. The staff is wonderful, and when it rains it smells amazing thanks to the eucalyptus trees.

Leasing office is great at notifying you of any urgent issue. Keeps constant communication on issues.

My experience living at El Norte Villas has been excellent. The property is kept very clean and feels safe. The management is extremely friendly and accommodating. I love working out at the gym and take my dog around the green spaces. There are even dog disposal bags which is very convenient. You cant get closer to the I 15 freeway and you're only 20 minutes from the beach.

The apartments and apartment complex are well kept.

El Norte Villas is an excellent location, but a lot of people smoke weed so every time you come into your neighborhood it smells of were. Parking is a nightmare because people have three and four cars and they leave dumpy broken down cars in the guest parking spaces for months and months.

The apartments are awesome. Only problem is they are too expensive.

The transition to El Norte Villas was fast, easy, and caring. The team here shows that they care and communicate with intent. The interior is up to date and clean which is fantastic. Love it here! Thank you El Norte Villas!

I love my apartment and my complex. All the staff from the leasing office, management, to maintenance staff are super helpful and respectful.

Well maintained complex in a great location with helpful and responsive office staff.

The complex is clean and well kept. Parking is not an issue and the location is very convenient. The amenities are cleaned often; you see employees cleaning, sweeping and dusting, every day. Also, when I asked for maintenance to look at my unit they came that same day so I appreciate the urgency and availability they had for me.

My experience at El Norte Villas was not a good one. -my apartment had roaches appear within 2 weeks of moving in, Ive never had roaches and am extremely clean -half way through out lease, a rat appeared in our kitchen, turns out there was a hole in the wall behind the dishwasher. what else was behind the dish washer? a couple rat traps that were years old -my car was broken into, property stolen -dumpsters are overflowing constantly, transients rummage through them regularly -parking lot always had at least one smoker at any given point in time -staff was extremely lacking in quantity of people and quality of training, the head lady in charge is the only one that knows whats going on -the only nights I slept through the night were the month that the unit above me was vacant, there is no mid-floor insulation, so expect to hear literally everything your upstairs neighbor does. I mean everything.... I cannot stress this enough, if you are a downstairs apartment you cannot escape this noise. -despite the "prohibited breeds list" a vast majority of dogs in this complex are pits, boxers, shepard, husky, etc. -there were 3-4 police cruisers in the parking lot at least once a month -gate was broken approx. half of the time -trees are untrimmed, and can be dangerous. a month before move-out, a 30-ft long branch fell from 4 stories up and destroyed part of a retaining wall rail, a month later at move-out the rail was not fixed, a 6' drop hazard left ignored -cabinet doors/panels fell off twice during out lease -there was literally no move-out communication, once we confirmed that we werent renewing, we never heard anything. On move-out day, we moved, cleaned, and returned the keys to an employee that didnt even know we were moving out. I had to email management to inquire about our deposit 14 days after end of lease, at which point they mailed the check. If I had not reached out, I feel that we wouldve never heard from them. -they charge fees for online payment, we opted to deliver paper checks (there was also a lot of confusion paying first months rent, and I inquired $100 in bank fees to correct the double charge that occured) -my units patio flooded every time it rained due to non-existent drainage in the landscaping -the unit above mine's patio flooded every time it rained because the balcony was sloped TOWARD the building -parking is difficult, can rarely find guest parking after 5pm I wouldn't recommend for anyone looking long term.

Love the community and love the staff. All very kind and very helpful. Put my needs first and worked very hard to get me the apartment I needed.

I really enjoy the convience of El Norte, with washer and dryer in unit, upgraded kitchens and wonderful hard flooring throughout the apartment. The location is also convenient for shopping and accessing the highway. Great spaces for pets, kids, everyone, to enjoy living here.

I like living here, it is very convenient since close to grocery store, gas station, and the freeway! Parking is awesome, always available. The few times Ive contacted the office, management has been helpful.

This apartment complex has all the amenities you would hope for as a resident for a very reasonable rent. Overall, would recommend checking out this complex!

Nice apartments if they would get rid of the bugs

I have lived here for 13 years. And have always had a positive experience. The staff is really friendly and caring. Such a great community to live in.

Ive enjoyed living here the past couple of months. I love that the neighborhood is quiet! Maintenance did a great job fixing a minor issue in the apartment and fixed it almost immediately even though it wasnt an emergency.

I love the complex. The area is great and the management is very friendly. Everything is upkept well and they seem to care about their residents!

The community is ok for the most part. The maintenance team is over all sweet but they definitely dont like to be bothered and they definitely take the easy way out for pretty much everything. I have sent in an email regarding a very loud neighbor next to use and nothing was ever done from our understandings. Its not ideal to have obnoxious laughing from 10pm-3am when you have two little ones that are on prompt sleeping schedules that start at 7:30pm. I guess you can say at least its a roof over our heads. Were going to have to renew our lease here at the end of this year and were so hesitant on doing so.

The environment, over the last 6 months have evolved to be home-like, with very much improved efforts on maintenance.

Here at El Norte Villas, they keep the landscape impeccably manicured! Any maintenance issues are taken care of FAST (sometimes the day of). The Managers are friendly and Mary is my go-to question answerer. They really do try and make the community so nice. There have been a few issues with safety. My car was stolen once and vandalized another. But I LOVE my apartment. My neighbors are QUIET, it is great to come home to a quiet space and rest.

El Norte Villas is an alright place to live. We had a one bedroom apartment, and it is pretty spacious and upgraded. We only had one problem with our apartment, and that was ants. They were everywhere when summer came around. We also got tired of hearing the cars drive by all night since it's right by a busy road. They have a pool, spa, gym, and a tennis court. The pool and spa is nice, but it is usually pretty dirty. The gym worked for me although it is pretty small, but it had what I needed. They also have a pet policy where they allow pets under 25 lbs. But there's also a pet rent of $25, which is ridiculous considering my cat don't have any money, but I do understand pet deposits. I don't like that they're discriminating against larger breeds though, it's usually the ankle biters that are worst anyway. The management is ok. They're nothing special, and they seem like they don't care too much about you and whatever problems you bring up. They just seem like they're "too good" for us. We lived there for a year, and the reason we moved out is because of their pet policy and the one bedroom cost us $1204 a month, which is too much.

Our one bedroom was pretty spacious, it had a fireplace which was pretty cozy, although we didn't get many chances to use it. Our apartment also had a patio and tons of storage space, and it was pretty clean and modern. The apartment has a pool and a small fitness room. The pool was nice, but the fitness room was small and had almost no equipment. The apartment is so close to a busy road and the freeway, which is good because it's easy access, but also bad because of the noise. The rent is also pretty high, especially since it's so noisy, they should probably reduce the rent for the apartments that are right next to the road. The walls are kind of thin between the apartments. There is no A/C in the bedroom, only in the living room and it does not reach the bedroom when it's on. So it can get pretty hot in the bedroom. The pet policy allows pets under 25 lbs, but I have seen multiple renters that have larger breed dogs. I think they should just allow big breeds, the 25 limit is pretty ridiculous.
