      Does not return security deposit and new management is horrible

      I lived here for 6 years, and while I had a great experience for the first 4 years, the new management and owner are horrible. Since Greystar has taken over, they've increased rent on tenants every year, added additional charges on top of your rent that used to be free (such as parking and storage), and then on top of that, they withheld my security deposit after move out and made false claims of damages to my apartment to try and withhold it. If you look at other reviews, other tenants say the same thing. The building responds to these messages saying that they care and they take the feedback to heart, but the reality is they don't care at all. They try to nickel and dime you for everything and you should think twice before renting here.

      1810 feels like a small community in the heart of Little Italy. It's really a hidden gem with everything walking distance. No noise at all and very relaxing to live.

      Do not rent here!!

      I moved out of 1810 State St. for three reasons: Increased homeless population, significant increases in rent and utilities by Greystar, and the new Greystar property management staff. Also, Greystar did not return my security deposit within the legal timeframe which is 21 days. Do not rent here because you will regret it. The new Greystar property manager does not communicate with residents and does not resolve issues.

      After looking at dozens of places in little Italy, Eighteen Ten was by far the best choice! Great location, wonderfully designed units with large windows that block out sound, under crowded roof top and lounge, and hands down the best staff. Jarret is the man.
