Edge at Concord

My family and I lived at this community from 2019 until recently, when we moved after purchasing a home. While the property is marketed as a “luxury” townhome community, that was not our experience during our time here. The units are outdated, and the overall environment did not feel safe or family-friendly. There was frequent and noticeable marijuana odor coming through the vents from surrounding units, which was especially concerning as a parent. Despite reporting it, the issue remained unresolved. One of our biggest concerns was the amount of police activity. Law enforcement was regularly on-site due to disturbances, including domestic incidents and noise complaints. We witnessed multiple situations in the parking lot that made us feel uneasy, especially with children present. Additionally, the grounds were not well maintained in terms of cleanliness. Pet waste was consistently left on sidewalks and grassy areas, and it did not appear that community rules were enforced when it came to upkeep or resident behavior. During our time here, the property changed ownership and management several times, which created inconsistency and confusion in communication. This instability made it difficult to get clear answers or feel confident in the overall direction of the community. In our experience, this was not a peaceful or well-managed place to live. I would recommend that future renters visit in person, speak with current residents, and consider whether this environment aligns with their expectations.

The main good thing about staying at Caralea Valley Apartments is that it is convenient to Concord, Charlotte and Kannapolis.

Caralea has been great so far. My daughters love their new space, pool and backyard.

Living here at Caralea valley has been a peaceful and quiet experience, no maintenance issues management response to issues through emails and letters. Enjoyable time here

A very safe place to live. Close to stores. This is not just another apartment building that sits out in the sun. Plenty of trees. And all the residents that live here respect each other. It is like living in your own town. Love it here.

The apartment is located in a great place but the rent is overpriced for what it is. Parking is scarce, I cant open my oven door without having to open my refrigerator, and the carpet is falling apart.

It is quiet and everyone mind their business. The staff is great.

Living at Caralea Valley is perfect living for all ages. Everyone is so pleasant, the environment is safe and convenient. It's very peaceful, fun, and clean here. I am surrounded by so many places of business. I Love it here at Caralea Valley, it's like Paradise here on earth.

I've been a resident at Caralea Valley for a month and am enjoying the beauty, cleanliness, quiet environment and amenities available for our community. Everything worked properly in my apartment and it was clean and cool. The apartment was ready to be moved into on the date agreed upon. I am thankful for my new home.

A friendly community within a community! I feel safe and connected to my community through community portals, events by the office staff, and walking, swimming or even exercising. My pets love it here too, and have their own Bark Park. How cool is that?

Caralea Valley is in a great location. The maintenance team is responsive, helpful, and professional. Office management is friendly, professional, and helpful!

Beautifully landscaped and well maintained apartments and townhouses that are slowly updating. New amenities are nice and hopefully more to come for the price. Price is higher than neighboring communities. Neighborhood village feel with mostly kind folks. Maintenance is stellar. For the most part, office staff is friendly. Not a lot of storage. Updated units are cute. Would be nice to have the dog park updated.

I love the area I live in. The staff here are really friendly and helpful. I have everything I need right here within my grasp. I can go to the pool, the fitness center, or take my dogs to the bark park. They even have a Food Lion right down the street! lol I LOVE IT HERE!!

Living in Caralea Valley gives you a feel of having a cabin in the woods. I'm a big city boy since birth. It has a very intimate feel to it. I'm enjoying it.

Neighborhood feel, beautiful landscape, amazing maintenance, quiet, well built, dog friendly. Manager issues, unequal interior amenities, cheap flooring, small and basic for such high rent, no trails or greenspace, poor appliances.

The application process was so smooth and response was quick. The office staff alone is wonderful and makes a huge difference in the community. Everyone in the community so far has been nice and welcoming makes you feel more at ease. It is a quiet, safe community.

The community of Caralea Valley is very welcoming. The leasing process was very easy and the ladies in the front office were very professional and understanding that this is a stressful process for anyone. They provide a speedy response, and the units themselves are very cozy. I certainly would recommend this community to anyone in the surrounding area looking for a new beginning!

Living at Caralea was a new experience, first time renting. The staff are great. I have never had a problem that wasn't completed quickly and correct. They a getting the place find up. Very happen living here

Excellent community to live....Clean and well secure

I have lived here for almost a year and have loved every minute of it! From the awesome and friendly office & maintenance staff to the great amenities, I made a great decision living here. The cable is included in the rent and it's way more channels than I expected plus Showtime for free! Anytime I've had a maintenance request (which is not often), it's always done quickly and efficiently. It's also nice to walk into the office and be greeted with a smile and by name-definitely do not just feel like a number! I plan on renewing my lease and staying for a while as this feels like a home like community instead of an apartment living situation.

We moved in in may 2016 and we're very happy at first. Then our neighbor moved out and we got this horrible family instead. Stomping around at all hours, slamming the door, yelling and antagonizing our dogs with their puppy. There was a fatal heroin overdose across the street and at least 4 instances of police, ambulances and fire trucks in our cul de sac. To show how little communication there was, the leasing office didn't even know about the overdose! Be careful with your pets, too. They charge a non refundable fee of $350 PER PET, which is just used to line their pockets. If your pet damages something, you'd think he costs of fixing it would come out of that $350, right? WRONG. We were dinged for a damaged carpet and then charged $150 for a steam cleaning. Bad business practice to not replace carpeting after pets have lived in a house. What if the next people have pet dander allergies??? They say that the $350 is the cost for a pet to live there and try to make it seem better by offering a "great" dog park. All the agility items were broken or missing! Totally not worth the $350 fee. Overall, it was an ok place. But after everything that happened which is listed above, combined with them raising our rent $40/month (!!!!!), we decided to not renew. It's your call, but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Leasing office staff is nice, but that's one tiny pro in a world of cons.

Great place to be, quiet and friendly community, clean environment, has a pool, gym, dog park, washer and dryer room, near the Carolina mall and afton ridge. Caring people that thinks highly of you because they want the best for the people in the community. They have guest suites to rent out. Apartments are spacious and with some wallpapers and others with no wallpaper, they also have a Bonneville, Daytona, Darlington, and also a Talladega all ranging from size to price.

They have a high price for rent our flooring is coming up the stairs on our front porch are becoming an issue my husband almost fell off of them they are not stable.
