The Triangle, also known as Triangle State, is a modern community in north-central Austin offering an array of upscale conveniences. The Triangle is home to a bevy of luxury apartments, restaurants, shops, and medical facilities just east of Rosedale and a few miles north of UT Austin.
The Triangle brings new meaning to the live-work-play phenomenon, with more than 500 apartments available for rent in the same complex as major employers like the Heart Hospital of Austin and Central Texas Rehabilitation Center. The Triangle also contains several lush green spaces, including Triangle Commons Park, which includes a paved jogging trail wrapped around a tranquil pond.
Among the Triangle’s many commercial delights is the Central Marketplace, a gourmet grocery that offers cooking classes and festivals in addition to its broad range of food and more. Even residents who don’t work in the Triangle enjoy simple commutes with convenience to North Lamar Boulevard and the MoPac Expressway.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Echo
So far the experience has been really good. Maintenance is great, the apartments are nice, it’s quiet and walking distance from some great places to eat and shop, and the communication is good which I lacked at my previous place. The only downsides would be the elevators are a bit slow and are out of service a bit. The garage (someone else hit from my understanding) but is still is out of service. Treadmills need some tuning. Otherwise a great spot

Echo is a great place to live. I love the apartment floor plans. So much light and space. I also think the maintenance team is one of the best, very efficient, kind and timely.

Hi - thanks for letting us know we went Beyond Expectations! We'll be sure to share with the team here at Echo! Echo Community Manager
Very nice apartments! I only recently moved in, so my experience is limited. But I appreciate how clean the building is, my unit seems very well maintained, I haven't seen any bugs. The price of rent is quite high, but there are no surprise fees.

There are several major issues I'd consider when viewing the property: - management is relatively unhelpful if you have a problem. Often, their accounting isn't correct, and you won't get a refund or your deposit back unless you continuously follow up with management. - the apartments are not sound-proof at all. You can hear everything outside in sharp detail. - the building is poorly made. We can hear every time any of our neighbors flush the toilet because the sewage pipes run through our walls. So fun when we have guests over for dinner. - there are two elevators for the entire building (300+ units?). Often, at least one is broken. Also, one elevator is dangerous. It broke while my neighbor was in it, and she was trapped in it while the elevator cycled between trying to go up and falling down. After this incident, that elevator was put back in service, but still rattles disconcertingly and won't let you off at the 5th floor.

Since Greystar took over, the customer experience (besides maintenance) has dropped to lowest level. Office staff is not approachable, not responsive to communication, slightly rude, fake, & general do not care about us. The energy exuded now comes from a negative space. Very dissatisfied with the level of customer service.

Hi, thank you for your kind review; we are happy to pass along your comments to the maintenance team here at Echo! We really appreciate your kind words about Echo!
Management is seemingly fine until you have a problem. And when you have a problem here, you really, truly have a problem. I’ve lived here for two years and have never been felt so disrespected and belittled as when dealing with the property manager here. Communication is absolutely pitiful. Sure, the building is nice, but just pray you don’t ever need to deal with the property managers/leasing office because they can only ever seem to send conflicting messages. If you live in a unit with windows facing N Lamar, be prepared for little to no sound proofing from outside. I only give it two stars because the maintenance/custodial staff are beyond amazing. They are the only redeeming factor here.
Great location. Terrible since new management bought it. Smells and looks dirty. Trash everywhere. 0/10 do not recommend.
My wife and I have lived at Echo for over two years now and we can say that we have truly enjoyed the experience of this complex. From the timely and courteous staff to the beautiful apartment wood floors, this place is a gem. But that’s not to say that there haven’t been some pain points too. After living here (and working from home full time) for a while we have a full perspective of the building and want to share our experience for those thinking of living here. The bad: When we first moved in it was super quiet (outside of the Lamar Blvd street noise, which yes, is noticeable from your apartment- shocker) and there were some vacancies which helped make it feel not so busy. But over the years, due to their large success, Echo has reached full capacity. This comes at a doubled edged sword as more people equals more noise in general- noisy neighbors, dogs barking, people in the hallways, loud music/noise from TVs and speakers, etc. It is also now much harder to find a parking spot on a desirable level if you get home late. And lastly the elevators are slow, some of the slowest I’ve ever dealt with, but operable. Just have to exercise some patience with the amount of people that use them. The good: The apartments are beautiful with real wood floors and (if you face outwards) provide amazing views of Austin. We have never had a structural or “bad” problem with the apartment itself. And the staff at Echo goes above and beyond in their communication efforts and maintenance of the building. After the crazy winter weather in early 2021 there was some water damage to the building, but they moved extremely quickly to get vendors in here to start the renovations and repairs. Samah and Jim, in particular, make living here worth it. If you are looking for a central Austin luxury apartment, this complex should be at the top of your list.

Echo is a beautiful, friendly place where I feel comfortable, safe, and taken care of.
We have been here 5 years and love it! Its clean and always well maintained Its a friendly community where we feel safe and well taken care of by everyone that works here!!! Excellent property
Echo is a beautiful property and worth every penny in rent. The staff is what makes this place stellar; they go above and beyond to keep residents happy. Service calls being handle expeditiously is bare minimum, they plan fun events as well as handled the COVID crisis with care. I would rate them 10/10 if that was an option; strongly recommend moving to this property.
