Newton Meeting, a group of Pennsylvania Quakers, formed here in 1682. Their current meetinghouse was built in 1827 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Downtown Camden is just two blocks from Dr. Ulysses S. Wiggins Waterfront Park, an attractive and popular park that is home to the Adventure Aquarium, the Children's Garden, the Wiggins Park Marina, and the Wiggins Park Riverstage.
