The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Douglass Gardens
I lived in a 1 bedroom apartment on the first floor from June of 2016 to December of 2020. I found management/maintenance to be very helpful and responsive. I did get a few crickets from time to time, but it was not enough to bother me. My minor issue was that one of the laundry room electronic credit card readers was never working. Eventually I just loaded up on quarters and was fine. This is also the first apartment that I have ever gotten my full security deposit back after moving out. They have helped me out when I get locked out very quickly. I had the best neighbors I have ever had, everyone was very friendly and accommodating. They would look after my packages if I was at work and they would even talk to management on my behalf if there was anything I needed. Management always responded to my email questions or concerns very quickly. If I needed help with anything they would schedule time and send over maintenance right away. I had my elderly mom visit for a few months from Florida and she loved walking around the complex talking to everyone and exploring. I got married and purchased a house last year otherwise I would have been happy to stay in Douglass Gardens for another couple years. Edit: 1 last thing, I saw that someone did not like the flood lights that were installed, but I loved them. It made me and my guests feel very safe when the entire parking lot was fully illuminated every night.
My experience at douglas garden has been horrible least to say. We have a ongoing problem of squirrels entering the house despite multiple call and emailing them they did nothing to resolve the issue and kept on telling that they are following the procedure and they can not do anything else. The maintenance guy is so inefficient . The management is rude and unprofessional.
I lived in a 1 bedroom for 2 years. There are pros and cons to this place. Nice neighborhood and quiet. Very roomy. But... The main con: Shockingly thin ceilings. If you want to hear literally everything your upstairs neighbor is doing, then choose a downstairs apartment here! You here everything. Every time he flushes the toilet. Every time he watches TV. Every time he MOVES around in his bed!! So bad. And for such an expensive place, it really is a disgrace. Of course there is no way to tell this until you actually move in. When you view the apartment you will most likely not be there for long enough to hear anything. So just take my word. Its bad. On the plus-side, the sidewalls are extremely well insulated, so you shouldn't here your side neighbors. So that's good. A minor con is that you don't have your own washer/dryer, but that's typical around here.
