With its famous neighbors being Miami, Hialeah, and Miami Beach, Opa-Locka may not be the first place you consider for your Miami area apartment, but this small city provides everything you'd want in a South Florida location and then some: access to the beach, a tropical setting with plenty of palm trees and beautiful parks, and those warm ocean breezes. Opa-Locka is roughly 12 miles northwest of downtown Miami and about six miles west of the Atlantic Coast beaches.
Of course, life in Opa-Locka isn't all sandy toes and surfboards -- this city is directly north of Miami-Dade College-North Campus, adjacent to Miami Opa-Locka Executive Airport, and home of Amelia Earhart Park. You may notice a variety of decorative spirals and domes on many of the buildings in Opa-Locka -- that's because the city's founder, Glenn Curtiss, decided he wanted a theme for his city, and he chose a Moorish theme.

Every since they have remodeled the apartment there have been a lot or roaches completes being made and nothing they do is fixing this problem! Do not move into these apartment!

Current Tenant
I've been residing here for about 3 years, at first I was hesitant to move due to the area, but have no complaints till this date! I feel safe in the area and appartment complex. Through the remodeling process the office staff, Jessie and George were very supportive and attentive to make sure that my family and I were comfortable. My kids made new friends and are happy here and feel safe when they go outside to play. I would recommend Douglas Pointe Apartments to anyone. :)

Finally home!!!
Im so happy I got the opportunity and qualified to live here , its beautiful remodeled , spacious, no one bothers me but even better , whenever something does go wrong I contact Jessi or ask one of the maintanace staff to get something fixed and they are here in less than an hour ready to fix whatever I need. My family and I are safe and in love with our apartment . So thanks to jessi and the staff for keeping everything clean and together for our neighborhood. You guys are the best !

Current tenant
I recently moved into this cozy community, I was hesitant at first due to the area but once I spoke to the property manager Jessy my concerns were addressed. Before moving in she gave me a tour of the property, showed me a vacant unit with the current renovations. My apartment was completed renovated within a week. Her and her staff made the process quick and easy. The property manager Jessy has great people skills, she is friendly yet maintains professionalism at all times. When any concerns have arises her team and her are always there to help.

Not a four star
They charge you $75 to use a so Health Center that has only three machine. The pool is open from 9 to 5 when the office is open. On weekends at 12 to 5 when they have security and they only open one side of the gate so the people on the other side of the building has to walk all the way around. Garbage pickup is once a day they got raccoons in the garbage constantly. In the summertime worms and maggots are at your door.

Below Blue-Color
I know that I don't have Donald Trump dollars. But, I worked harder than he in positions that I thought would have me living, if not like a queen, at least like a princess. Well this apartment doesn't come anywhere near that and yet, less than, "blue color". I make myself feel like I'm living in a luxurious apartment by thinking, "well, at least I'm not homeless; especially, like a lot of my conrads (veterans). I know if I won this, it would allow me to help others
