From white-water rafting on the Cheat River to rock climbing at Coopers Rock to shopping for antiques, there's good reason Morgantown is the most popular destination in West Virginia -- add in West Virginia University and the reasons just become more impressive. Morgantown, situated along the Monongahela River, provides stunning views of the Appalachian Mountains -- especially from vantage points like Dorsey Knob. This park covers 71 acres, and the mountain is 1,398 feet high.
Considered a top-ranking research university, WVU was established in 1867 and features several buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Residents of Morgantown can visit the university's Core Arboretum, which is free and open to the public. Residents can also cheer on the West Virginia Mountaineers at various sports events. The Mountaineers compete in NCAA Division I as part of the Big 12 Conference.

This place is disgusting. They do not clean before you arrive, they lie about how much you’ll be charged for electric (electric includes heating, cooling, any of the appliances). The front desk staff are stuck up and unprofessional, attempting to argue with me over the phone about a concern that I had as well as speaking poorly on other residents. I was charged a random fee for something I had no control over or argue. This ‘housing’ is effectively just an overpriced glorified dorm so do not let the looks trick you into thinking this is a valid place to live.

I lived here for two years, and I would never recommend living here to anyone. The apartment that my roommate and I moved into was absolutely disgusting when we moved in. There were nail clippings and pee on the floor in my bathroom, paint splatters all over the floors, mold in the showers, and a sock and smashed skittles in the couch. We just recently moved out, and it was the worst experience. They overcharge you for absolutely everything they possibly can, and if you find someone ON YOUR OWN to sublease your apartment, you still have to pay over $300 just to sublease it over. These apartments are overpriced and disgusting. The pool and gym were also dirty, covered in bandaids, hair, and dirt. Would not recommend.
