Mountlake Terrace is a fairly small city of around 20,000 residents near the northern shore of Lake Washington. I-5 runs right through the middle of town, putting downtown Seattle less than thirty minutes away. Living in Mountlake Terrace puts you in a great position to explore the natural wonders of Washington State, particularly the sprawling Cascade Mountain nature preserves to the east. Ferry service across Puget Sound makes it easy to reach to Olympic Peninsula as well, allowing for weekend trips to Olympic National Park and the ocean.
There are plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation closer to home, whether that means spending an afternoon at Lake Ballinger or bringing your dog to the parkland around Lyon Creek. Houses and apartments in the northwest portion of the city have the most convenient access to the Premera offices.

Lived here for 2 years and would not recommend.
My wife and I lived here for 2 years with our son and new baby. For the first 1.5 years property manager was unresponsive and unavailable. She wouldn’t submit maintenance tickets and wouldn’t answer her phone or texts at all. The only time she was responsive was when she needed something from you. Upper management was rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional when concerns were brought up. We would for sure NOT recommend. It is way overpriced for what you actually get.
