I have been living here for over 7 months and the lady in the office Susie is the biggest sweetheart, very professional and a great help to this community and apartment she always helps me with Anything I need
Same guy owns 4 or 5 complexes in Shelby Twp. May have only maintenance worker to make repairs to over 400 apartments. Other maintenance help gets deported a couple times a year. No heat complaints usually get fixed in 2-3 days. Anything else i.e. no hot water can take weeks. Occasionally i.e no A.C., you are looking at more than a month. No working laundry and no refunds. Located across the street from a Hazardous Waste Dump. Grass routinely gets over a foot high before it is mowed. Building entrance and walks are not salted and multiple people slip and fall each winter. Some black mold issues. If you like goose grease, this is the place for you.
This apartment complex has great prices for amazing space. Currently I pay $690 for a basement apartment with 1100 square feet with a walk out patio on a lake. The lake is for veiwing only; no swimming, fishing, or boating. And the lake is not cleaned routinely enough. The geese are terrible and not cleaned up after. Laundry facilities usually don't work. And getting maintenance to come fix something is near to impossible. Carport included in rent. Nothing else included. No clubhouse, pool, workout room, or anything like that.
the apartment size, layout and storage space is great! High traffic area during rush hours, about 10-15 miles from two major freeways. On a private lake with lots of waterfowl. Plenty of hummingbirds if you hang a feeder. Lots of fish and turtles as well. Water paid for. Each 10 apartments share 2 washers and 2 dryers, however in the 4 years we've lived here, we're lucky to have 1 semi-working washer and dryer. On washer has been broken and unreplaced since we moved in. Other buildings have similar situations, Emergency calls for repairs are sometimes responded to immediately. Other times it can be a month. I called repeated about a leaking ceiling in the bathroom for weeks. One night at 3 am a 3-4 ft section crashed down on the toliet and sink. It was partially fixed the next day but for 2 months we had no ceiling there only open rafters. the main apartment rooms are barrier free and somewhat handicapped workable, but bathrooms aren't. No clubhouse, no pool. entry handicap accessible on level with parking lot - back of building is on lake/hill so our 2nd floor apt walks in on level but balcony is one level above the lake. No handicap access to lake. Accessible by 30 stairs or steep hills.
Apartments are very spacious and rent is cheap are about the only two good things about this place. Good luck with getting anything fixed right they would rather have you live without than spend money for example the washers and dryers in 90% of the buildings do not work and it doesn't matter how much you complain because they don't care. I've had to withhold rent multiple times to get things done. Management is rude and so are the receptionists. They did a rent increase at the beginning of the year but yet have done nothing to make them worth paying more rent for. My overall opinion is you get what you pay for and don't expect anything else.
